Fox News host Tucker Carlson tore into Bank of America (BOFA) for allegedly searching and releasing private customer data to federal investigators following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Carlson said his show obtained “exclusively, evidence" that BOFA — which has more than 60 million customers — “is actively but secretly engaged in the hunt for extremists in cooperation with the government.” Carlson said during the February 4 edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight that the nation’s second-largest bank “is, without the knowledge or the consent of its customers, sharing private information with federal law enforcement agencies.”
In effect, Bank of America “is acting as an intelligence agency, but they're not telling you about it,” according to Carlson. George Orwell is turning over violently in his grave.

My family and friends have always asked me why I do ALL of my transactions/purchases with cash or a pre-paid card with a ficticous name for on line purchases.....this is the first time an institution has sought out and sent information themselves....but the worded rules for banks to follow are so wide open to interpretation that any electronic purchase can be sought out.
4th Amendment.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Warrants? Subpoenas? Are you kidding? This is the FBI/DNC.
I banked at B of A many years ago, but switched to a local bank in 2006. No nonsense, great service, pleasant employees.
I saw that FBI people look at the posts here on FR.

Attempt to withdraw a goodly amount of cash from your personal account. The teller will ASK you what you intend to do with this money. She must be told (higher authorities demand this info) As to the exact amount which triggers the question, that is unknown ($3K ?)
