And here we are in 2021 the Dictatorship of COVID-19 and Americans held hostage like Gayle Meyer...
Don McLean's "American Pie" was all over the radio back in 1972 and many phrases in that song including "The Day The Music Died".
It will be 62 years ago this Wednesday "The Day The Music Died" February 3, 1959 The Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly killed in a plane crash...

Make America Grovel Again...
Music has died. Barely any tours going on.
Barely any local music going on (and what there are locally are mostly cover bands).
There have been songs about The Covid written but no significant songs of protest about the lockdowns and restrictions that have not be ordered by any legislature.
It could be said that initially there was no time to go through the legislature, things had to be done immediately. A year later still no legislation about the restrictions.
Van Morrison Born to be Free
The answer is pretty obvious that both major parties want it that way.
Why do we keep thinking one is better than the other?
What fools we are.
I read about that video but did not have a chance to see it yet.
I prefer the following re-working of a traditional melody Van has played with previously (best known version would be Marty Robnins’s “Streets of Laredo”):
Van Morrison: As I Walked Out
have seen the following by Agence France-Presse, and below by Press Association. have not seen an actual MSM “journalist” bother to cover the story:
20 Jan: Irish Times: Van Morrison launches Covid-19 legal action over North’s live music ban
by Press Association
The singer will argue the ban is not based on credible scientific or medical evidence
The celebrated singer-songwriter, from Belfast, is commencing judicial review proceedings against Stormont regulations that prohibit live music in indoor licensed venues in Northern Ireland...
(Solicitor Joe Rice, acting on behalf of Morrison) said his client will argue the ban in Northern Ireland is unsustainable in law and is not based on credible scientific or medical evidence...
Mr Rice has issued pre-action correspondence to Stormont’s Executive Office and the Department of Health.
The letter calls on ministers to make public the medical and scientific basis for the regulation.
If the ban is not lifted, Morrison will seek leave from the High Court in Belfast to challenge the prohibition by way of judicial review.
Commenting on the legal move, Mr Rice said: “Many people in the music and arts world in Northern Ireland have been devastated financially, socially and artistically by this complete ban...
“Sir Van is taking this action on behalf of the thousands of musicians, artists, venues and those involved in the live music industry.
“He has been supporting many artists throughout this pandemic and is determined to ensure that, as we endeavour to emerge safely from this lockdown, artists and musicians will have a proper opportunity to play their part through live music to restore the cultural, social and economic wellbeing and success of our society.”
I think the red states are pretty free.
For starters Republican Governor Mike DeWine’s Ohio is definitely not free.
But of course the radio talk show hosts don’t talk much about him and what he’s done.
Why is that?
The London Imperial model predicted 2.2 million dead Americans and 500,000 dead Brits if we didn’t lock down. You can say it was an incorrect computer model, but they have a HISTORY of bad disease models.
Bird flu pandemic ‘could kill 150m’
Last month Neil Ferguson, a professor of mathematical biology at Imperial College London, told Guardian Unlimited that up to 200 million people could be killed.
Real death toll? Maybe 200,000. 1000x mistake
‘Mad Cow’ Sheep in Britain Could Increase the Human Death Toll
Neil M. Ferguson and his colleagues at Imperial College, London, considered three possible scenarios. In the best case, BSE does not spread within or between flocks and therefore has a negligable impact on the vCJD epidemic. But at worst, BSE spreads wildly both within and between flocks and raises the vCJD toll from a maximum of 50,000 to 100,000 deaths due to infected cattle alone to a combined total of as many as 150,000 deaths.
Real death toll? 50-ish. 1000x mistake.
This means that liberals in power CHOOSE to use a disease modeler with a HISTORY of being WILDLY wrong.
