There are plenty of radical House bills coming up the pipeline the Democrats in the Senate will need to decide if there is one in particular worth eliminating the filibuster for. Will it be gun control or HR1 — the campaign finance bill, or neither? Maybe another big bill coming later.

The way I look at it is we have a couple of million men under arms at the most. We have over 400 million guns and probably 150 million gun owners. Pick a number on how many will NOT give up their guns without a fight. I pick 10% just as an example. That's about 15 million of us against 2 million maybe. How many of those will fire on American citizens? Will police and sheriffs fire on Americans with an unlawful order? I think a lot of Generals would have second thoughts even if Insurrection was called.

Then you have the ones that suggest Biden will call upon the UN troops to fire on Americans. IMO, that will embolden about 20-30% to keep their guns. We could easily have 30-50 million under arms pretty quickly.

It's going to take a mindset that I will follow the Constitution and not some politician's whim. It means we will have to resists the "law". Most of us are God fearing lawful people so it will be hard for some to "break the law". Always remember the mantra "We The People". If our country isn't for the people we have the right to "institute new Government" that is for the people.

When I read “license”, I was thinking of y’all who live in states where you have to “apply” for the ahem right/privilege of even just purchasing a firearm.

Here in Louisiana, where the state leges made the state constitution more pro-2A, you buy a firearm from a dealer, you have the federal NICS, period. Any other transaction requires no bill of sale. So Uncle Boudreaux can sell his nephew Arlin his family Civil War rifle for a dollar, and when necessary, back and forth, with no paper.

CHL’s by both or either the State, or, the individual parish. Before I becsme housebound in 2013, my parish license, with the NRA-sanctioned class and a letter explaining my military firearms training and weilding, for $50 first year, $10 annual renewal with application. The state police issues a state-wide license for over $500 for at least 4 years.
