Billionaire Plutocrat Warns: the People Will Be Bringing Pitchforks
https://politicrossing.com ^ | January 29, 2021 | By Chris Widener

You may not of heard of Nick Hanauer, but he is one of the most influential tech billionaires of the last 20 years. He was the first non-family member investor in a little company called Amazon. He was friends with Jeff Bezos and when Jeff arrived in Seattle, Nick put together some investors. Nick made out very well. In fact, Nick made out so well, that his even his little brother Adrian also made out very well, now owning the world class Seattle Sounders soccer team. But I digress…

In 2014, Nick wrote an article for political entitled, The Pitchforks Are Coming… For Us Plutocrats.

Here is how Nick describes himself in the Politico article:

“You probably don’t know me, but like you I am one of those .01%ers, a proud and unapologetic capitalist. I have founded, co-founded and funded more than 30 companies across a range of industries—from itsy-bitsy ones like the night club I started in my 20s to giant ones like Amazon.com, for which I was the first non-family investor. Then I founded aQuantive, an Internet advertising company that was sold to Microsoft in 2007 for $6.4 billion. In cash. My friends and I own a bank.

“But let’s speak frankly to each other. I’m not the smartest guy you’ve ever met, or the hardest-working. I was a mediocre student. I’m not technical at all—I can’t write a word of code. What sets me apart, I think, is a tolerance for risk and an intuition about what will happen in the future. Seeing where things are headed is the essence of entrepreneurship. And what do I see in our future now?

“I see pitchforks.”

“At the same time that people like you and me are thriving beyond the dreams of any plutocrats in history, the rest of the country—the 99.99 percent—is lagging far behind. The divide between the haves and have-nots is getting worse really, really fast. In 1980, the top 1 percent controlled about 8 percent of U.S. national income. The bottom 50 percent shared about 18 percent. Today the top 1 percent share about 20 percent; the bottom 50 percent, just 12 percent.”

Now, you have to understand, Nick is a leftist in every sense of the word. When my partner Todd Herman and I had a radio show in Seattle, we always wanted Nick to come on and debate us but he would never come on. But for a moment in time in 2014, Nick was dead on the money that eventually people are going to be tired of being taken advantage of and being used by the system. This latest case between hedge funds and the small investors using Robin Hood, demonstrates just how stacked the system is against the little guy. When the little guy feels frustration and believes that he has no way to improve his lot in life because the wealthy elite are crushing him, eventually he and his friends pick up pitchforks.

Here is more from Nick:

“If we don’t do something to fix the glaring inequities in this economy, the pitchforks are going to come for us. No society can sustain this kind of rising inequality. In fact, there is no example in human history where wealth accumulated like this and the pitchforks didn’t eventually come out. You show me a highly unequal society, and I will show you a police state. Or an uprising. There are no counterexamples. None. It’s not if, it’s when.”

The more the Biden Administration and the radical left crush the little guy, the closer and closer we will get to Nick’s vision from seven years ago. Let’s hope someone figures this out and let’s up, before the “little guy” rebels.

Here is the TedTalk that Nick did warning of an impending pitchfork rebellion:

Yes, the wrong people are now able to declare Martial law, suspend The Constitution and destroy The Republic.
For the past 100+ years the rest of the world could count on the USA to help defend freedoms - who will help the USA now?
Thanks to the lying media, no one - that's who. We are on our own.

But i find it strange no one here hasnt also come to the conclusion that perhaps this is exactly what they desire to occur

I agree and don't agree. On one hand, I do think there is a set-up in play. However, by warning us of State relatiation to us coming with pitchforks, they are scaring the masses from doing so.

Yeah, just like all those pro athletes that take a knee, sow social unrest and use their massively bloated salaries to buy momma a 20 room mansion, diamond grills, Mr T bling and Escalades for their entourage. It’s their money, they can do what they want with it, but I have no time for anyone that does not practice what they preach.

White liberal 'elites' have already come up with an answer: they pit the most violent blacks against whites...even to the point of pre-positioning bricks, weapons and cash for violent thugs to use against white and black owned businesses.

White liberal elites also assist with backing criminals... anything to 'stir the pot' and keep the focus off the fact white liberal 'elites' are ripping ALL of us off... whites, blacks, immigrants...all of us.

If we don't allow white liberal 'elites' to abuse us - history tells us they'll murder us...genocide... With the Katy Turs of the world building the camps... Yes, the "Katy types" will prove we 'deserve' death... for believing things different than they believe...

The ugliest most vile conspiracy theories in the last decade were the lies against President Trump... the lies about Trump being a Russian spy etc... sick liberals elites...

Income inequality is not a problem but envy is.

No really.

He writes as if legitimate business deserves the pitchfork just because it’s successful.

It’s convoluted.

But what we really see more and more is a two-tier society in which some people make the rules and are allowed to break all the rules at any time. They are untouchable. The bulk of society is weighed down by so many rules that they can be crushed in a thousand ways anytime some important person decides to crush them.

I think you are correct.

We have always had wealthy people and mostly they have been admired.

Visit Biltmore Estate, for instance. One of many built in former years.

The breaking point will come as a result of the breakdown in the justice and the court system.

The Clinesmith case and today's news about Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger are the kind of things that will set the country on fire.

When ordinary people live in fear of a knock at the door, by the government with falsified warrant based on falsified evidence to be tried in a kangaroo court.....you have all of the elements of resentment sufficient to go for the pitchforks.

Yes the dims are pushing us. The do wish for a revolt but their mistake is in that they do not realize that revolts by their very nature rarely turn out according to plan. By their very definition, revolts can get out of control.

He knows those who are in his position. He may be a plutocrat billionaire, but he’s not drunk on power. He knows there are those that are...............

I don’t have a problem with anyone being a billionaire. I do have a problem with billionaires using their money to subvert my country & transform it into something it shouldn’t be. I do have a problem when billionaires & politicians are in bed with all kinds of self-dealing that makes them money but cuts out the rest of us.

If billionaires really care about those on the other end of the income scale, then use those dollars to create free clinics, or put poor kids through college, or help those in need with their expenses. There’s a lot of good that can be done with all those billions. So why isn’t it being done?

That is all that they will have if that. They will turn their guns in to Biden and Kameltoe. Or just Kameltoe. They need to kiss them goodbye because Willie’s Whore and Biden are coming for them before too many moons pass.

As soon as everyone realizes that we’re on our own the better. Congress ain’t gonna help. The military and the authorities are against us and all this talk is worthless. Forget voting. There’s only one solution to the communist takeover and that is going to take an incredible sacrifice. No one can do this alone. It’s going to take MILLIONS of patriots to show the world that liberty is the most important commodity. When will that happen? At the rate of the this Marxist destruction of America and all it stands for time is of the essence.

"I am not at all sure that “income inequality” is a core problem. "

I agree. Inequality is to be expected in a free market and free society. It's impossible to avoid. In fact, it's impossible to avoid in any society.

The important thing is that all boats are rising. And that opportunities for self betterment exists. I don't care how rich Bezos is if I'm prospering and if the same rules apply to Bezos that apply to me.

The problem occurs when the power inherent in inequality is used to further inequality.
