h/t Breitbart; Libertarians rejoice! Thanks to President Biden’s latest climate brainstorm, in the future the US Federal Government will only function within 200 miles of the nearest operational EV charging station, and only when a fully charged EV is available in the car pool.

Leverage the Federal Government’s Footprint and Buying Power to Lead by Example
Consistent with the goals of the President’s Build Back Better jobs and economic recovery plan, of which his clean energy jobs plan is a central pillar, the order directs the federal agencies to procure carbon pollution-free electricity and clean, zero-emission vehicles to create good-paying, union jobs and stimulate clean energy industries.
In addition, the order requires those purchases be Made in America, following President Biden’s Buy American executive order. The order also directs agencies to apply and strictly enforce the prevailing wage and benefit guidelines of the Davis Bacon and other acts and encourage Project Labor Agreements. These actions reaffirm that agencies should work to ensure that any jobs created with funds to address the climate crisis are good jobs with a choice to join a union.

My thoughts exactly. We have to pay for government cars that cost nearly double what a gas driven car cost. The average person can’t afford an electric car. Might as well put a 50% tax rate on everyone’s income at the rate Biden is spending.
So Fedgov is switching from gasoline to coal-fired vehicles! Great news.
In the early 70s I worked at a “youth center” (read prison for juveniles). Occasionally we’d have a ‘run’ and the staff had to hop into state cars to try and catch them.
But this was when a car wouldn’t even start unless you had your seat-belt buckled and whatever passed for a computer then sometimes would sometimes get a bit confused. You’d jump in the car, fasten the belt and the car would tell you to buckle up. We’d have to switch off the key. Unbuckle, get out of the car, shut the door, get back in, buckle up, and hope you did everything in exactly the right order. Meanwhile the lad was headed into the woods.

I worked in the fleet department
for a electric utility supplier.
Some one in the higher ups thought
it would be a great idea to test
the application of a few EV’s in
the fleet.
We ended up adding a tow truck
to rescue the EV’s parked after
the vehicles ran low on charge.
It got to be an added expense as
personnel were assigned to
maintain nothing but the EV’s,
plus the tow truck drivers’ wages,
and replacement parts were
inherently more expensive.

The jobs were posted all over businesses when Obama was Pres. He dumped 10K Somalis near Andrew Jackson’s home. Since LBJ’s great society we have more and more freeloaders in OUR country. So You won’t go 10 miles in a cold climate. Then I just read today that EV car battery’s will freeze and be destroyed in cold climates unless they are plugged into a charging station during storage. Basically you have to pay to heat the batteries and keep them warm.
But lets not forget that Electric heat uses a whole lot of watts. And so does AC. Traffic jam anyone? While you are sitting still in traffic you are still taking major miles off your battery charge due to interior climate control. You are likely to end up dead on the road with no AC or Heat.
This is nothing more than another scam to destroy your ability to be mobile. It is to prevent you from being able to do any major travel. Yet the population is is so ignorant that they can’t see the real affects of this on themselves.
