New Study Makes Discovery About Controversial Drug Hydroxychloroquine
Western Journal ^ | January 28, 2021 | Erin Coates

A new study out of New Jersey shows that the controversial antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine could help people with mild symptoms of COVID-19.

Hackensack Meridian Health published a new study that found outpatients who received the anti-inflammatory drug last year were much less likely to be hospitalized, NorthJersey.com reported.

Andrew Yip, the director of the Division of Outcomes and Value Research at the John Theurer Cancer Center, cautioned people against jumping to conclusions about the drug, as it needs to be studied further before it is approved for use.

“If you’re going to say it’s a cure, that’s definitely crazy,” Ip said.

He did point out that the study found “less hospitalizations and not much toxicity” in patients who receive hydroxychloroquine, but “you still need to validate these findings” in a clinical trial.

Hydroxychloroquine became a political controversy last year when former President Donald Trump touted it as a cure for COVID-19.

“The nice part is, it’s been around for a long time, so we know that if it — if things don’t go as planned, it’s not going to kill anybody,” Trump said, according to ABC News...

I think we have located a candidate for "idiot of the year" award! Why is further study needed when there is adequate proof bad side effects are minimal and it is literally available over the counter in places like India.

The FDA has legal requirements they must meet before they can grant emergency use authorization for a vaccine. One of those legal requirements is that there can not be any effective available and approved alternative to the vaccine HCQ meets all of those..
Fauci Discredited the use of HCQ and it was largely made unavailable to the public. This has probably caused more deaths then the virus has if you could boil it down and get the actual numbers.

That has already been done across the world. What a bunch of deep state A-holes.

Funny you should mention ‘amoxicillin’ ... that is my go-to pill when I get just about any type of ailmint. I guess my physiological makeup likes it. I talk my dentist into prescribing ‘a little extra’ of those should I need it after a dental procedure so I have some on hand.

Did he literally state that? Or did he indicate that it could help people with the virus?

He called it a "miracle" and a "game changer". It could have been both. What if it had saved 25,000 people? 50,000 people? 100,000? I'll bet those people's family members would have called it a "miracle". It was the best drug available when Trump spoke about it. He was trying to put a positive spin on it to keep the American public from panicking over the spread of a novel virus with no cure.

HCQ is no longer the best or most effective drug for COVID. But for a while, it was all we had. But we couldn't have it because Trump praised it, so it had to be bad. Now that Trump is deposed and we have better options, I guess maybe HCQ wasn't so evil after all.

These People Should be Prosecuted!

You could be prosecuted for pointing it out.

If they can lay blame on DJT for INSTIGATING an insurrection from his speech, I don’t see how Facebook and other journalists mocking HCQ get a free pass. It is the equivalent to shouting “Fire” in a crowded movie theatre that caused people to react against a valid treatment option.

Dr. Zelenko keeps innovating.

One problem with HCQ for symptomatic patients has been that it takes two or three days to work when taken in pill form.

Dr. Z tried mixing a liquid form with water, and having the patient inhale it with a nebulizer. Results in a hurry.

Outline is on the the University of Texas RGV web site here:

President Donald Trump touted it as a cure.

Not even the latter. Trump's early comments could be summarized as "Wouldn't it be great if these initial positive results (from French researcher Dr. Didier Raoult) turned out to be the basis for an effective therapy?" That was not "touting," it was not a claim that HcQ was a "cure," and it was not even a claim that HcQ worked at all.

Subsequent studies proved that WHEN ADMINISTERED EARLY, HcQ did substantially reduce hospitalizations and deaths. It was not a "cure," but it was an effective therapy.

I’ve had been doing the protocol without Ivermectin and Melatonin until December.

In Early December, I started on the apple flavored Ivermectin.

My wife refused to take the apple flavored so this week I used http://text2md.com and got a script for the 3mg pill version of Ivermectin.
I filled out the questionnaire Tuesday morning, the doctor’s consult was done about an hour later. By Wednesday evening I had my script as the pharmacy needed a day to get it in stock.

Apple flavored was 3 months worth for $15. Pill version was $55 consult and $108 for 28 pills(i.e. about a month’s worth). It is what it is. Someone is making bank on Ivermectin as it costs about 3 cents a pill.

At least we’re now both on it and no “issues” visiting her elderly parents.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Quarantine the sick. Protect the vulnerable. Free everyone else.

Makes a discovery? What exactly did they discover that was found in the other 195 studies:

https://c19study.com/

It has been well established that HCQ is effective and safe, especially when given early in the disease cycle.

” ... further studies need to be done before the drug can be approved for use.”

The Western Journal is being deceitful. They want you to think nothing was known about HCQ’s effectiveness until now.

Andrew Yip, Director of the Division of Outcomes and Value Research at the John Theurer Cancer Center is the king of caution:
“Do not jump to conclusions about the drug”
“It needs to be studied further before it is approved for use”
“It’s not a cure, that’s definitely crazy”
“You still need to validate these findings in a clinical trial”

Maybe by 2030 they’ll have enough data to convince themselves. Same with Ivermectin.

He said something to the effect that 'they're having good results with it, it may not work out, we'll see. but I feel good about it'.

That turned into 'Trump said known poison cures COVID'

The claim about HCQ early last year was not that it was “a cure”. It was simply that it prevented outpatients from becoming inpatients.

Those who defamed HCQ killed 10s of thousands. Many wise physicians ignored the slander and put the cheap drug to its best use.
