Former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard unloaded on Rep. Adam Schiff, former CIA director John Brennan, and Big Tech companies, referring to them as “domestic enemies.”
In a video clip and blistering Twitter thread, Gabbard denounced the Capitol rioters for their actions earlier this month but accused people like Schiff and Brennan of being far more dangerous.
“The mob who stormed the Capitol on January 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” Gabbard said.
“But let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies,” she continued.
Gabbard alleged that they are also “much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol.”

“I call upon you [and] all of Congress from both parties to denounce efforts by Brennan [and] others to take away our civil liberties endowed to us by our Creator [and] guaranteed in our Constitution,” Gabbard urged.
“If you don’t stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril.”

Hmmm. Tulsi picking up the populist mantle. Many Freeps are getting leg tingles now.
She calls them dangerous, etc. yet she voted in favor of their machinations against the president by supporting the resolution that moved the impeachment inquiry forward in October. And then she voted ‘present’ on both articles of impeachment.
While its nice to hear her speak out its more likely she is simply angling to enhance her own political viability. She’s just another rank politician seeking to advance her career.

Only time will tell.
Maybe she’s learned something about her past opinions. Again time will tell. I assume Hawaii remains her constitutiency so she will have to be liberal to maintain viability there.
If she does run as a Republican, she will be a RINO in the finest tradition of Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and of course, Mittens.
I like her recent scoldings of the Biden administration, but she still holds very strong pro-abortion and anti-Second Amendment positions.

Yeah, she sees an opportunity to build a unique brand for herself as the “moderate” voice of the left, just like McCain in reverse.
