A second police officer who responded to the violent insurrection that rocked the Capitol Building on Jan. 6 has died by suicide, according to testimony obtained by POLITICO.
Acting Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee told House appropriators during a closed-door session on Tuesday that Jeffrey Smith, a D.C. Police officer, and Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood both “took their own lives in the aftermath of that battle.”

Yeah, I agree. This may be a case of correlation <> causation and the media doesn't care anyway. Anything to promote their progressive/fascist narrative to march us to the re-education (read that: death) camps.
True- but what pushed them over the edge in this case? They faced far far more dangerous situations when confronted and attacked by antifa and blm domestic terrorists- All they really did at the capitol was push protesters back for awhile, soem cops may have struggled with some violent antifa infiltrators, but really, nothing serious was done- everything was pretty well orderly when folks were escorted into the building-
What was so horrible about a mostly peaceful protest that caused the cops to take their own lives? We didn’t hear of any cops taking hteirl ives after they confronted the violent domestic terrorists all over the nation
