Except that there is absolutely no provision in the Constitution that gives Congress the power to regulate elections. The 26th Amendment was required to change the voting age to 18.
We live in a Post-Constitutional society.

Why have elections? Just use newspaper polls to determine the Democrat winners? Think the cost savings! The results would be the same. Had enough yet, citizen?

Reverse tactics are needed to defend the electoral processes. Republicans just don’t play the new lawless game. Will only get worse for republicans if they don’t grow a pair in state legislatures for new voter laws. (Yeah didn’t use a bad word)
This bill will either be struck down or if the state legislature is controlled by conservatives the state will ignore it. One reason is money. This bill requires the states provide online voter registration. Who pays for the designer of the web interface? Who pays for the server to store the information? Who pays for someone to verify the information in the voter registration? I don’t see conservative states agreeing to pay for all these services just because Democrats in Washington DC ordered it.
The states control election policy. The Feds will get this little ploy stuffed in their ear.
