The new flavor of the month is Kamala Harris. Supposedly Harris is unique as the first minority member to serves as Vice President.

The distinction belongs to Republican Charles Curtis who served as Vice President for President Herbert C. Hoover. Curtis was a Kansan who was a registered member of the Kaw nation. His ancestry included Osage and Potawatomi blood as well. Unlike Harris, Curtis was a distinguished member of Congress and served as President Pro Tempore, Majority Whip, and Majority Leader while in the US Senate.
Doesn’t matter. Only Democrats can be firsts in anything which they define as desirable.
