A new report from Axios indicates trust in traditional media sources has hit an all-time low with fewer than half of all Americans confident in the information they are receiving.
Using information from Edelman’s annual trust barometer, the report notes that trust in traditional media has plummeted even since 2020.
Axios states that just 46 percent of all Americans trust the media and, following the election, numbers dropped even further as just 18 percent of Republicans are expressing faith in purveyors of the news.
“Mistrust of media is now a central part of many Americans’ personal identity — an article of faith that they weren’t argued into and can’t be argued out of,” they write.

It’s difficult to argue in favor of trusting the media after the absolute debacle that was coverage of the Trump administration since 2016.

Maybe because there is no such thing as actual, unbiased “News” coming out of the Mainstream Media anymore? It’s all just propaganda now, and has been for quite some time, and anyone with more than about two functional brain cells knows this.

Each and every opportunity a conservative is “interviewed” on the MSM two things should happen. 1) they should insist it be a live interview so that it cannot be conveniently edited.2) the MSM interviewer should be asked to explain why the MSM asolutely refused to report on or investigate the Hunter Biden hard drive.
When the MSM qqbsolutely refused to cover that story thay moved from bias into open collusion with the demented corrupt Biden. The American people must come to understand that the MSM and the globalists who control it must never be trusted again.

This past weekend, George Stephanopoulos interviewed Rand Paul. It was one-on-one. Paul took the position that the election had some questionable aspects and should be investigated. Stephanopoulos called him a liar.
Rand Paul called him out on that and said that, as a journalist, Stephanopoulos should be aware that there are two sides to every story and that an investigation would help people understand the election. Stephanopoulos didn't back down at all. Just said that there were not two sides, Trump lost, the election had no fraud, and Republicans need to stop lying about it.
I wonder why the public doesn't trust the media?
Rand Paul lit into Stephy about his yesterday I would have gone further and asked if him and his ever did move to Australia after trump won
I had a professor once who said that getting your information from ‘others’ instead of researching it for yourself was like allowing someone else to masticate your food for you, before you swallow it.
Gross and just about totally right.
Let that sink in.
after 5 long years of 24/7 over the top negative coverage of Trump, he received about 11 MILLION more votes than he did in 2016. The Media-Dem Party had to resort to rigging the election via changing the rules in the middle of the game, getting Big Tech to intervene on their behalf, and old fashioned ballot-box stuffing.
The overwhelming majority of those who trust the media are democrats. Every democrat I know would repeat whatever CNN was reporting as if it was gospel.
Have to lift the sewer lid to hear what they say.
The media know this, and that’s why nothing will ever change.
