While I have NEVER been convicted of a felony, domestic violence, and I’ve never been adjudicated mentally unfit by a judge, my name was placed in the Federal National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) and I have been prohibited from ever owning or even touching a firearm.

If there is a need to bury them, there is a need to use them.
Yep false positives and holds are very common. In my instance I ended up getting a conceal carry permit to forego the endless waiting period when wanting to purchase a weapon. There was a bad guy that actually has my exact name outside of Salt Lake City, UT. I guess he was the holdup for my purchases. Now with the ccw I walk out with the weapon every time.
Still waiting on silencer approval though. Heck I wonder if I wasted my money with this new administration now. You’d think the government would want our hearing to be protected so we can listen to the propaganda.😉
Nobody has the stomach to do what needs to be done.
Having one’s name entered in the National Instant Criminal Background Check system would come after some sort of criminal conviction or court order. NICS holds up buying a firearm now, but of itself does not prohibit anyone from “ever owning or even touching a firearm”. Has Loomer been convicted of a felony?
They just have to hold it Hoodways and toss it forward to get that extra speed as the Round exits the Muzzle
“Why would anyone want to own a gun?”
Kinda like having all the National Guard Troops at the Capitols...
“Alright, I clicked through and read the article. She got the news from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, not from NICS or the Federal Government. “
Better read again. The denial was based on NICS report.
I saw a video that she herself streamed being hysterical, crying etc about some Twitter feed. I know a lot of people like her but I think she’s unstable.
Maybe she can grow out of it.
“Mistakes are made. She needs to look into it before becoming hysterical. Of course, that approach would preclude the publicity.”
This was a denial of her APPEAL!
The NICS provides full service to the FFLs in 30 states, five U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. The NICS provides partial service to seven states. The remaining 13 states perform their own checks through the NICS.
It used to be that if they don’t turn you down within a certain amount of time, the FFL dealer can complete the sale. That’s what happened with Dillon Roof.
“I used to run nics checks and there can be mistakes in them. So she might want to check on that again.”
You might want to check the article again.
I must have missed that in the article. I would suggest getting a lawyer to have the gov’t recognize her civil rights.
No, I got that. FL Dept. of Law Enforcement claimed it was NICS which might or might not be true. I always thought that a NICS denial was based on some legal violation, ie. felony, serious criminal charge or domestic violence, not doing something that might offend an upcoming administration.
Maybe that is when they changed it.
From the letter they had pictured at Gateway Pundit, she was applying for a concealed weapons license (or whatever else it may be known as to people in other states), and Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement reported that she’s not permitted to purchase or own per NICS.
Fixed...
When did you put in for your Form 4? I have three cans, one I applied for the Form 4 in Dec 2016, the second Aug 2017, and the third Dec 18. All three took nine months.
And I can’t help but wonder if I’m going to be “encouraged” to turn in my suppressors in the coming months.
Yes, that is how it's done in Florida; standard procedure.
Yeah, handled by the Florida State Dept. of Agriculture.
Weird ,.. huh ?
