Country music star John Rich seemingly put his own career at risk this week by defying the left to say that other artists have come to him saying that they are being “muzzled” by the industry “when it comes to them expressing their frustration and anger about the targeting of conservatives.”

The present state of country music is not country.
I discovered "Reward Music" which is a joint-venture between Dweezil Zappa and Steven Volpp (please note: I have no financial interest in this site but I am a huge fan of Frank and Dweezil Zappa).
It's a very cool site, where basically fans pay nothing to join and have access to all kind of content (some of which has a cost but that's capitalism, baby). Unlike with FB etc, there isn't an algorithm that limits reach to fans; unbeknownst to many people, if an artist pushes out a message on FB to his/her fans, an algorithm limits the reach so that maybe 10% of the fans get the message (unless they "boo$t" the post...). Finally, so they say, fans' data aren't sold to Google etc.
I don't know if it'll succeed but it's a step in the night direction.
Change the venue to Hillbilly Rap.
Apparently a majority of our Country is occupied by Good Germans.
Joementia’s (MAGA) Make America Grovel Again platform will hit the ground running, have no doubt.
Being a Trump supporter can kill a career in any industry. This,of course,is all spelled out in Rules For Radicals.
I haven’t heard of Reward Music - thanks for sharing!
I imagine the next dominate “country” with be country rap which is.... crap
Murder on Music Row - 1999
“Murder on Music Row” is a lament and criticism of the ongoing trend of country pop crossover acts and pop influences on country music, a trend that has pushed traditional and neotraditional country music (and those who perform it) to the periphery.

Ever since Alan Jackson and George Strait performed “Murder on Music Row” at the 1999 CMA Awards, the song has been a rallying point for traditional country music fans with no time for the pop-friendly country radio hits that have dominated Nashville for the past 20 years.
