Rep. Brian Mast, an Afghanistan war veteran and double amputee, fired back at Jake Tapper after the CNN anchor questioned his patriotism.
Tapper, during a segment covering impeachment proceedings in the House, went low and questioned Mast’s commitment to Democracy as the congressman spoke in opposition to the impeachment of President Trump.
“Congressman Brian Mast, a Republican from Florida – who lost his legs, by the way, fighting for democracy abroad, although I don’t know … about his commitment to it here in the United States,” Tapper told a panel.
Mast repeatedly condemned the Capitol protests that led to Trump’s second impeachment but stated, “I do not believe this conduct rises to the standard necessary for invoking the 25th Amendment or impeachment.”
Tapper’s unprovoked attack drew a response from Mast himself.

Tapper is a low-life and Mast is a patriot. Tapper mentioning he fought for democracy abroad even leaves an uneasy feeling. I now question the objectives in all the conflicts unleashed since Reagan. All respect to those on the ground doing the deeds, just don’t trust the narratives on the true objectives anymore.

I just looked up some biographical information, and it looks like Jake has never done anything in his life that even got his hands dirty, much less calloused, and he has never even come close to being in a situation in which he stood of the risk of getting his legs blown off. A pretty cushy life for a scumbag.
Those who serve in our military are, for the most part, laying down their lives so that we may live and enjoy the freedoms God gave us. These men (and sometimes women) are heroes! They discipline themselves, they go without all the comforts you and I are so used to, they serve far away from their moms and dads, their wives (husbands) and children.
Regardless of what the whiteshirts decree for them to do or where they are sent, they are dedicated to serving others at their own expense. Some give all. All give something.

Good point. There were a lot of patriots in the War Between the States (or The War of Northern Aggression if you're from the South). Sadly, one of the good things about that war is doctors' field medicine skills - especially amputations - grew exponentially.
