Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Tuesday that al Qaeda “has a new home base” inside Iran and he confirmed the killing of al Qaeda’s No 2. leader.
Speaking at the National Press Club in Washington, Pompeo said the terrorist group has “burrowed deep inside” Iran and “threatens the progress of the Abraham Accords.”

I’m sure this has nothing to do with the leaked trade accord Iran signed with China which pledges 5,000 Chinese troops inside Iran.

The countries of origin for the 9/11 terrorists do seem to be places that Pompeo favors, and it’s true that none came from Iran. Not a good look getting wrecked by Iran’s Foreign Minister. The Iranians cause a lot of trouble, but tying AQ to them is odd.
The neocons are emboldened by the feeding frenzy. They see tremendous opportunity with Biden. Trump delayed their plans for war against Iran and Russia. They aren’t giving up on that dream.
