For General Flynn and anyone else who believes that an Italian IT guy hacked the US elections from Germany through “Fucino Tower”

This started as a quick post/tweet that I wrote initially as a reply to General Flynn’s tweet claiming that Italy stole the US elections, and it has since expanded considerably. Here’s Flynn’s tweet (subsequently deleted by Twitter’s removal of his account:

This claim is essentially based on this photograph of an alleged “affidavit” provided by a Prof. Alfio D’Urso, “Advocate/Lawyer” in Catania, Italy, which claims (without evidence) that an Italian IT guy named Arturo D’Elia switched US election data “from significant margin of victory for Donald Trump to Joe Biden” by using “military grade cyber warfare encryption capabilities to transmit switched votes via military satellite of Fucino Tower to Frankfurt Germany”:

There actually is a lawyer named Alfio D’Urso whose office address is in Via Vittorio Emanuele, in the city of Catania, Italy (source; source). His details can be found by entering his surname (without the initial D) in this registry of Italian lawyers. However, the office street number is missing from the “affidavit”. Does anyone think that a real lawyer would get his own office address wrong in such an important legal document?

By the way, assuming that the Alfio D’Urso mentioned in the “affidavit” is the same Alfio D’Urso whose office actually is in Via Vittorio Emanuele in Catania at number 5, it’s worth taking a look at the location in Google Street View. This is supposed to be the front door of the lawyer who is handling such a world-changing deposition? Seriously?

A man named Arturo D’Elia does exist, and he actually did work for Leonardo SpA. He was arrested in late December 2020 for stealing military project data in Italy a few years ago (Reuters via Swissinfo). Of course, that in no way proves that he hacked the US elections. Or even that it’s the same person.

There are many more indications that suggest that this “affidavit” is simply made up by plucking vaguely relevant places and names from Google but without any real knowledge of the places and people involved or of how legal procedures work in Italy. Alfio D'Urso where it is claimed, without bringing any evidence to support the thesis, that a certain Arturo D'Elia would be responsible for Biden's victory, since he would be the technician who hacked the Leonardo satellite to manipulate the vote. We are in the ABCs of disinformation: a lawyer of a certain age has been hired and a testimony that uses real names to tell an incredible story has been signed. Here is the text in Italian:

Let's try to understand, Arturo D’Elia is really a name connected to Leonardo, and it is also true that D’Elia himself is under investigation and a colleague of his has already been arrested. But for facts that do not concern the 2020 elections, but rather a data theft between 2015 and 2017.
Just search the net to find everything. La Stampa explained things clearly already last December:
Indeed, the investigations revealed that for almost two years, between May 2015 and January 2017, Leonardo's IT structures had been hit by a targeted and persistent cyber attack, known as Advanced persistent threat or Apt, as it was carried out with installation in networks and target machines, of malicious code. The malicious software behaved like a newly engineered Trojan, inoculated by inserting USB sticks into spied on PCs, and made it possible to intercept what was typed on the keyboard of infected stations and capture the frames of what was displayed on the screens.
May 2015 and January 2017, nothing to do with November 2020. An attack that however "limited" itself to intercepting what was typed on the machines connected to the system, we are talking about 94 workstations. Not thousands of modified votes overseas.
I believe (if indeed the document was signed by the lawyer D’Urso) that some cunning persuaded him to draft that text by omitting what I have just reported. If this were not the case, I find the document very serious, and I believe that the Bar to which the lawyer D’Urso belongs should ask his member a few questions.
The worst thing is to see how many subjects are spreading the story in our country, without any critical spirit. But Q's misinformation has really hit the minds of many suggestible here in Italy. For us it is a disappointment, for years we have been trying to turn the spotlight on the problem of information disorder, unfortunately (and obviously) remaining unheard by many.
In addition to images, the story is also disseminated with a video, an interview with a certain Maria Zack, herself part of the many influencers linked to QAnon. Among the YouTube channels that are spreading the thing there are all those related to the unique people, in turn the Italic evolution of OPPT 1776, which in turn is a crap engulfed by Q. These people should be watched by the police and the judiciary. Not the Pisans who let themselves be fooled and associated, but the jackals who manipulate them.
Unfortunately, they are in some of their online groups and the authorities are far from doing anything. These people are free to claim victims among the weakest population of our country. Subjects who, convinced that they have found a way to live better, follow the dictates of various scoundrels and scammers.
It is really sad that no one has materially realized it yet, I see the videos with which these people suggest their followers, they are subjects who should be behind bars, not free to scam others.
