If 20+ GOP senators voted for conviction, they would all be walking dead men in their next primary/election, and most of them know that. Conviction IS NOT happening.
The proceedings unfold in the form of a trial, with the Senate having the right to call witnesses and each side having the right to perform cross-examinations

Alcee Hastings represents the 20th Congressional District in the state of Florida. If my memory serves me correct, he was impeached when he was a judge. Yet he now holds an elective office.

It didn’t sound like a concession. Why are all of Trumps recent announcements prerecorded? Why isn’t he just speaking from the oval office or the press room? I seriously doubt he’s even in DC. I don’t know what but there is something going on.
