Pardon my use of the title, but yesterday we saw what looked like a Pyrrhic victory, wherein those who would Keep America Great came together in a blue and red sea of vibrant harmony, only to incur the distaste of the chattering class when they entered the Capitol Building (through suspiciously ill-guarded entries) and behaved like a rowdy tour group after a hot toddy or two.
When a trigger-happy member of the Secret Service shot a female veteran trying to open a door through a broken window, this startling display of assertiveness (which liberals have come to never expect in domesticated conservatives) turned to tragedy, and the media swarmed the story with what could only be described as righteous satisfaction. They blamed President Trump, who roused the crowd with a thorough address of the wrongs they have suffered, pointed them toward the Capitol Building and then vanished, hopefully to a secure location from which some of us still hope he will produce a trick from his sleeve the likes of which the world has never seen. It could still happen. Donald Trump defies expectations as a hobby, and eats failed predictions for breakfast.
But until he does (and if he doesn’t) How Do We Then Live?
We are facing the prospect of a presidency that promises to put a period on the end of not just American greatness, but freedom and independence as well. Where did our decline begin? With the creature from Jekyll Island? With FDR’s implementation of a welfare state? With JFK’s untimely assassination, which many (myself included) suspect was triggered by his intention of dismantling the CIA? With Bill Clinton’s sale of our technology to China? Certainly then at the latest. Our benevolence toward China has all the earmarks of a foolish little woman adopting a baby gorilla that will grow up to rip her face off.
Wherever it started, it’s all in place now. China owns enough of our lands, institutions, and politicians that it’s only a matter of handing over the keys to the front door, the code to the garage, and then taking off in the camper to the Bahamas, which Biden and his ilk are obviously itching to do.
Whether President Trump surges out from a bunker in Texas to sweep through D.C. with military force and entertain us for months to come with televised military tribunals as we lay bets on which former mighty giants get the firing squad first, or whether he and his family make for Brazil before our vengeful aristocracy can make an example of them, the rest of us little people are left with the question: what do we do now?
My first bit of advice, which many of you don’t need, but if you do: don’t concern yourself with the mainstream media. Glance dismissively over their outrage at yesterday’s “violence” of a few broken windows (with no fires and no spray paint). Sigh with boredom over their righteous indignation at Trump’s having dared to encourage people to wave American flags instead of burning them. Scroll desultorily past their demands for our extinction. The lightweight little bitches would starve without us and everyone knows it, especially them. Don’t even bother to absorb their reactions, especially their loathsome glee that a “white girl” was shot. These are people who hate veterans 363 days of the year, and only muster a façade of decorum one day in May and one day in September. The rest of the time, they hate anyone with a job, a comb, and an ability to show up on time, so do not let their chimp-like glee at her death get under your skin. She lived more in 30 years than they could in 70, and she died defending her Constitution. Who cares what the chattering class and their pseudo-academic clientele think? Not I.
My second bit of advice is, look to your immediate surroundings. Who lives near you that is on our side? Who are the True Americans around you? I’d say “who are the Trump supporters,” but it’s not really about President Trump, and I don’t think he wants it to be about him. He is a litmus test: those who love him tend to love America. It’s hard to believe in someone loving America who hates the man who built her a security wall and bolstered her military. So, find those fellow MAGA-pedes in your neighborhood and start getting to know them. Find people you can barter services with. Find people you can trade unwanted items with. Find people who will pick you up at the airport (if you’re allowed to fly without a vaccine) in exchange for a dozen fresh eggs.
If you don’t have a place of worship, consider hunting till you find one where the parking lot is full of big trucks and gun racks. It doesn’t even matter if you believe: church tends to be where you find people interested in goodness. You’re going to need that.
Get as financially well-sorted as you can, and practice living simply, not so you can go without, but so you can’t be bribed or blackmailed. If you have children, spend as much time as you can with them undoing whatever poison the school system is putting in their heads. If you have family in the area, muster up all the forebearance you can and make friends with that brother-in-law (unless he’s a Leftie. If he’s a Leftie, now he’s a spy, so beware.)
Consider your job to begin building from the ground up: children who understand our Heritage (Greek, Roman, Hebrew, Christian, Saxon, Pilgrim, whatever bloodline you’ve traced out that leads to patriotism. Create relationships with neighbors who look out for one another. Forge networks of faith and community. Spend more time with each other than reading what some blue-checked psychopath said on Twitter.
Yes, I include the normal warnings about arming oneself and taking over the local schoolboard, by all means. But first, let’s all get our heads right and remember: the social media/entertainment industry are the court jesters and camp followers of our culture. You could silence all of their voices with the press of a button. The politicians are slightly more dangerous, but we can deal with them in a couple weeks. For now, concentrate on deafening yourself to the crowing of an utterly brainwashed crowd of sneering hair models, and staring past them at the distant future. They have played the long game well, and are enjoying the sickly fruit of their labors. We’ll have to do some gardening now of our own.
I have been thinking about that myself. I don’t have many answers yet, but you have provided some good ideas.
Some very good ideas indeed.
Applause!!! So well written.
I’m with you all the way.
As I am reading this article, my doorbell rings and my neighbor is yelling
at me how my Gladstone flag is seditious. I have been flying this flag from my home for years! I’m not taking it down. It’s just so bizarre.
Well thought out advice and well written to boot.
Thanks for posting them.
some of us appreciate it and since JR has provided a forum for bloggers and personal to be posted, I don’t see that it’s any body’s business what people post there.
If someone doesn’t want to follow a link to avoid giving hits to a webpage, then they can simply pass over it and not click.
Perhaps you meant “Gadsden?”
Expect weird stuff to happen for the foreseeable future.
Situational awareness is your friend.
Carry and stay alert.
Great post!
Well, now you know not to trust your neighbor.
Haha I actually had an ex boyfriend email today and say fuck you for voting for Trump and pissing on the graves of those who died for this country. We did break up due to political reasons yet that was 5 years ago cold turkey! I did email one word to him 4 years ago which was “Trump” right after Trump won. I guess this is payback. Can you day T D S?
very wise, imho.
He looked and sounded great, but I do take exception to his call for healing and reconciliation.
There can be no reconciliation with those who want you brainwashed, imprisoned, or dead.
Sorry, can’t happen.
Well said, Perfect Lady.
Thank God he’s an ex.
And working together with President Biden.
Avoid Nextdoor if you’re on it. Mine is full of rants about Trump supporters and what should be done to them. The platform is theoretically not political, and I do think whoever moderates it or runs the local sites tries to get a grip on things.
But the left is completely unhinged right now. And even more dangerous than usual.
