I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump is removed/resigns before the week is out.

I hope not but unlike most on here I always thought the USA was under a Deep State dictatorship. Trump just made us see it.
I’ll see their 25th, and raise them a 2nd. And believe me, with 70 MILLION gun owners in the US that are almost all PO’ed, the 2ND will be much more effective.

I went to Marg Brennan’s Twitter and there is nothing that confirms his story.

It's going to be very hard to figure out what's true in the next 72 hours or so. There are so many dueling narratives and factions right now. If in fact Pence and Congressional leadership acted without the President's approval or knowledge, we have a de facto 25th Amendment situation, which could be retroactively legitimized by describing those consulted as being "...of such other body as Congress may by law provide..."
I think it's possible that a deal was made between the President and some other faction: tell your followers to stand down and we won't have you removed from office by force. That deal results in the stilted, flat video the President released, telling his supporters to go home at the very moment he could have ordered them to dig in and occupy the Capitol. I can't think of another reason why he would give up an opportunity to wield so much raw power like that. He literally has a citizen army at his beck and call, many of them willing to die in his service. Why dismiss them?

A;though it wouldn’t seem to make much difference with his term ending in 2 weeks anyway, that just looks to be the way things are going. Lots of resignations coming out of the White House, Congresspeople backing away from the electoral challanges among other things don’t speak to a happy ending. I could be wrong, of course, but if he’s out in the next few days it won’t be a shock to me.
If this were to happen all hell will break loose. It is such a stupid, foolish idea that it probably is under consideration. What happened today will appear to be like a playground fight between kindergarten children compared to what could happen if Trump is removed. Geesh! What a moronic, maybe even suicidal, idea!
I think you’re wrong. It wouldn’t be worth the trouble, if things are really going to go the way that ‘they’ think they’ve insured that they will.
