The party of Lincoln committed suicide and is DOA. Trump will be hounded to his grave, and Pence will go back to Indiana and work the lecture circuit. The best we can do is try to build a firewall. Relying on the rule of law and the proper authority doesn’t seem to be working against a group that has the knowledge and permission to steal elections. Social media and the press have managed to effectively bully their way to compliance from the state legislatures, so I’m not sure what legal avenues remain for stopping those who are unconcerned with legalities.
That is what I was thinking. They needed a delay and MAGA gave it to them.
Not going to happen. What this will do is help rally the troops to oppose president Biden and maybe just maybe eventually get legislation that will prevent what happened in the last election from not happening again.
The vandalism and illegality of these protest, unfortunately, will hurt, not help, our cause. Nearly every media outlet in the nation will associate the violence and rioting with Trump’s attempts to dispute the election.
I feel like a fool and sick and sad as America swirls down the toilet. Sure,I would like to water the liberty tree and go full on 1776 but most of us actually are holding jobs and the backbone of the nation. Storming the Capitol would ruin many lives. On the other hand elections now will not matter. I never thought the USA would get to this point but the writing has always been on the wall.
I think at this point it is truly over and we have to ask ourselves collectively what we need to do going forward as the system is ruined irreversibly.
