Similar here - the substance of the blackmail threat is extreme. I bet some of these dweebs would buckle to being exposed for petty larceny. No need to coerce them to commit murder. I would think drugs (alcohol is a powerful one) might be involved too.

I have always suspected they drug the blackmail target to make the video then use the video to control the target.
The murder the child bit is from a conspiracy theory: in order to be move up in this criminal organization you had to kill a child to be promoted to the next higher level.
A conspiracy always has a gain of truth in it. If this is no conspiracy Wood needs to release the video.
