Studies of the Pfizer vaccine have demonstrated that immunity begins occurring only 8-10 days after the first dose and even then immunity is only at around 50 percent. For that reason, a second dose is given 21 days after the first.
It is also unclear whether the vaccine prevents a person from spreading the virus.
While the individual would not get sick, since the immune system is now equipped to fight the virus, the individual’s nasal passages could still emit infectious virus particles.

Good observation, maybe free republic has so many anti- vaccers because we are attracted to being free to make our own decisions, not being of this corrupt world and ways of thinking. I thought you could still get the flu or the rona virus after the shots but that it would just be less,severe because you body is prepared to fight it because of the shot so to speak?
The article didn’t mention how severe or not these folks got it?
From what I understand the shots arent designed to give complete immunity? Just to lessen the impact if you should get the virus?

It is actually an injection containing mRNA or messenger RNA. Think of mRNA as basically a set of instructions for your body to begin to assemble certain proteins. In this case the spike protein that looks like the Covid spike protein. The body reacts to it as “alien” and triggers production of anti-bodies to destroy it. It’s not that hard to find made up claims. You can find them everywhere. What’s hard is to find made up claims so outrageously absurd that nobody will believe them because most people don’t bother making such ridiculous claims.
Like claims about the smallpox vaccine killing more people than it saved. Most wouldn’t bother making such a laughable claim because most people will just laugh at it. And with zero evidence to support such a claim, it’s really not worth the trouble.

From my understanding and research ( yes with medical people), NOBODY can explain what they actually do, they can only state what they were engineered to do...so, that said, they tell you to have to take a second shot, still wear your mask and keep on distancing....does not sound like a fully tested “ vaccine” to me, but rather a rushed witch doctor’s remedy...find a vaccine for FEAR and this Covid will disappear overnight.
The issue is not about vaccines.
The issue, which is credible, is the mRNA content that the virus is built upon.
It is still a Pandora’s box area.
So what’s the big rush to vaccinate against a virus with such a low mortality rate?

Being against forced vaccination has nothing to do with whether or not a vaccine is effective.
The mRNA platform has been under development for decades. Moderna was founded over a decade ago exclusively to develop products on the mRNA (generation 3) platform. It’s literally all they’ve worked on through their entire existence.
It’s not like this platform just sprang up out of nowhere just because Average Joe hadn’t heard of it before.
There's over 350,000 dead Americans and another 900,000+ at risk. And in the meantime, our economy is being crushed by the response from state governments and governors who somehow think that killing small businesses will protect people. That's the rush: save lives and save the economy.

I would imagine that is very close to what flue results in, for healthy people.
The virus might be a bit more deadly for elderly and sick, but most everyone is gonna survive it fine without all the ask nonsense being mandatory IF the elderly and sick get vaccinated AND are given treatment with KNOWN covid stoppers like ivermectin, hcq, and several others coming down the pike that are said to be even more effective.
I’ll bet none of the nursing homes are even giving prevent tatives like ivermectin, and certainly not hcq.
What the .eat and some in the medical profession did when they screamed about hcq being dangerous, just because they could t stand Trump, was unforgivable, they caused so. Many families to suffer needlessl by refuse g to use a drug that has been safely used for over 60 years now.

I have no dog in this fight. I take some vaccines (pneumonia, shingles) and skip others (flu). I usually let my doctor guide me. He’s a conservative I trust. At my age if he says I should take a covid-19 vaccine I’ll likely take it. But I realize a certain percentage of people will have complications with things like this.
I do get it that some delay getting a new rushed vaccine. I am usually not an early adopter of anything.

Those numbers are known to be inaccurately reported and the projected numbers are just panic porn.

Then you'd be an idiot. The vaccine requires two doses and takes a while to take effect. Israel has provided a first dose to over 10% of the country - of course some of those folks are still getting infected.

Let people manage their own lives and the government, which has no business shutting everything down for a mild illness, stop being so tyrannical?
Lives will be saved is doctors are allowed to treat people with effective medicine that stops the progression of the disease before people get so sick they die. Not to mention not ordering nursing homes to accommodate sick people and not venting people just because it’s profitable.
Several governors are responsible for the murder of all those people and it is not an accurate reflection of the actual seriousness of the disease.
A vaccine is not indicated when other means of treatment are effective.
