The Sound of FREEDOM!
01/01/2021 | Self

Posted on 12/31/2020 10:41:36 PM PST by BiglyCommentary

Where I live right now there are MASSIVE FIREWORKS going off. And they have been for past 30 minutes non stop. It is the Sound of FREEDOM! In my State and area, they are totally legal.

Every year when I hear a FREE PEOPLE blowing off such a massive amount of PERSONAL FIREWORKS, I thank God that I live in one of the FREE STATES of AMERICA. The first many years of my life it was not so, having grown up in NANNY/COMMIE STATE where fireworks were illegal. Big government had to protect you from hurting yourself, controlling as many aspects of your life as possible.

Hearing FREEDOM gets more and more precious as I witness what is going on this country, with so many states go full bore Soviet Union on steroids.

I’m about 10 minutes from lighting an entire brick of black cats and tossing it into our common area. It will be delightful.

Tomorrow in the nearest big city RAT/LIBERAL paper, there will be the usual stories of people who got hurt or even killed exercising their God Given right to be FREE (”Hold my beer and watch what I do with this huge firework...”), but their efforts will be futile, to get our legislature or local officials to make fireworks illegal.

One of my neighbors always does a 10 house long strip of those down the sidewalk. Almost 10 minutes of non stop “blody” action.

I know NYC and they were always illegal but New Yorkers are a rowdy bunch and you could always get them, back of the van type operations.

NO, you made a COMPLETE A** out of yourself, showing that that you are nothing but a clueless blowhard and that reading comprehension is not your strong suite. Fireworks ARE ILLEGAL in ALL BOROUGHS of NYC. I don't have to deal with crap like in the article below and that was my point.

stay home redneck Oh really? I know Manhattan like the back of my hand, having worked there for years at One Penn Plaza and having gone there for almost 20, ignorant assuming fool.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- State police will join the effort against illegal fireworks that have led to skyrocketing complaints across the five boroughs.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the move at his Monday press conference, and that the New York State Police Fireworks Enforcement Detail will focus on fireworks coming into the state from Pennsylvania.

In New York City, 24,560 illegal fireworks complaints have been made to 311 since Jan. 1, 2020, according to city data accessed Monday. In the same time period last year, there were 92 complaints, according to the same data.

On Staten Island, there have been 1,047 311 calls related to illegal fireworks so far this year, while there were only four last year, according to city data.

Fireworks for new years? Meh.
Around here we do it with 12 gauges, .308’s, .45’s...you get the idea.
Plenty of red neck fireworks on July 4th too. Or just whenever we feel like it. :-)

I was saddened years ago when San Ramon decided to cancel their annual Independence Day fireworks show. I thought the East Bay was cracking down on backyard fireworks, but I've been away for a few years now.
