The RATs have been stealing elections for decades. Nobody really dug into it till now so they got lazy , even cavalier about it. You don’t build up a massive fraud machine, including corrupt or cowardly judges, unless you have been doing it a long time and getting away with it.
This is reminiscent of the Breeders' Cup Pick-six scam in 2002. There was no way the scam would have been detected were there the usual hundreds of winners. But longshots prevailed and my recollection is that there were only four winning tickets. Two were sold at an obscure upstate NY OTB parlor. The results were so anomalous that it was obvious that some sort of fraud had been perpetrated. (See Wikipedia. My recollection was slightly incorrect!)
But at least these guys did some time in prison.
