It’s amazing to think that time was wasted on something as ridiculous as microaggression training.

U of Kansas study admits microaggression training doesn’t work
A University of Kansas study found that microaggression training does not significantly affect behavior, but instead introduces a “catch-all label for anything that causes offense.”
University of Kansas professors Zak Foste and Jennifer Ng interviewed resident assistants at two universities to determine the efficacy of microaggression training, according to the school.
The researchers explained that instead of addressing the need for “better understanding the racial, cultural and gender contexts of higher education and society overall,” microaggression training caused RAs to view microaggressions “as simple errors in communication, committed unconsciously because of ignorance, and easily fixed by people not repeating the same sentiments in the future,” according to the university’s summary of the study and the professors’ comments....

One of the commenters to this piece on LI has an excellent observation. I almost want to sign up for an account so I can encourage him to try to publish it somewhere:
"Every time someone tells the truth it’s either a micro aggression or a major transgression. “Micro aggression training,” teaching people to avoid the truth, not only doesn’t work but it has major boomerang effects.

Banning common sense is a macroaggression.
Keep in mind that ‘they’ knew that from the start, which then leads to the question of why have it in the first place?
Answer: To show our side just who is in control now.
Well, duh!
That’s because “micro aggressions” are in the heart of the offended, nor the offender.
People who are easily offended will always be easily offended. Especially if all it takes is for them to take offense at something they imagine others should be offended by (which is to say be offended by proxy).
People who’ve got time to be oppressed by microaggressions, or by statues or street names, are not oppressed at all.
Is there money in the corona bill to investigate why microaggression training isn’t working? If they send me a million, I’ll clue them in. 😴😴😴
We’ll be hearing this from liberals any day now:
Microaggression training absolutely does work. Those RAs just need more education in the subject. Or maybe those RAs are closet racists. Or maybe it’s both.
Micro means so small you don’t see it. It takes someone really small to see a microaggression.
“Microaggresion” training begets macroaggression.
It’s not supposed to work. It’s a way of humiliating people who are not politically correct.

It's chilling to think about - teaching people that the truth is a bad thing.
