“Dirt” I found depressing. My first impression of it was Layne was howling “I’m so messed up on heroin to the point I wanna put a gun to my head.”

21st century pop drove me to extreme metal. Autotune Autotune everywhere. I hear top 20 and wonder does anyone play real instruments on these or is it now average contract studio musicians and sampling?

Sap, even though it was acoustic, is one of the heaviest records ever written.

Man I couldn’t get enough of AIC, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam back in the 90’s. I still listen to them occasionally. Any music gets old quick when you’ve heard it a gazillion times.

One of the best albums of the '90s for me. By the time of their "Unplugged" appearance it was obvious Layne was in real trouble, but he was my favorite front-man of that decade.
I haven't listened to AIC 2.0 - Cantrell is awesome and I'm sure he's doing good work, but without Layne Staley's vocals it's not going to be Alice in Chains for me.
