“Dirt” I found depressing. My first impression of it was Layne was howling “I’m so messed up on heroin to the point I wanna put a gun to my head.”

One of the best albums of the '90s for me. By the time of their "Unplugged" appearance it was obvious Layne was in real trouble, but he was my favorite front-man of that decade.

I haven't listened to AIC 2.0 - Cantrell is awesome and I'm sure he's doing good work, but without Layne Staley's vocals it's not going to be Alice in Chains for me.
