Georgia Democrats are reportedly asking Democrats in other states to "move" to Georgia for the Senate election. Are Georgia revenue officials checking to see if newly registered voters are paying Georgia taxes?
Hahahahahaha!
Unfortunately the poll tax amendment nullifies that.
2019 Georgia Code
Title 21 - Elections
Chapter 2 - Elections and Primaries Generally
Article 15 - Miscellaneous Offenses
§ 21-2-561. False registrationUniversal Citation: GA Code § 21-2-561 (2019) Any person who:
(1) Registers as an elector knowing that such elector does not possess the qualifications required by law;
(2) Registers as an elector under any other name than the elector's own name; or
(3) Knowingly gives false information when registering as an elector
shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than one nor more than ten years or to pay a fine not to exceed $100,000.00, or both.
Of course not. $oro$ is paying for them.
Of course not, they are just going to be “residents” long enough to vote, which under a non-corrupt state government would/should be illegal.
Amendment 24, US Constitution (it says poll tax or other tax), outranks state statute. Hmm....can they ask if they’ve paid state tax on the registration? Yes, and it would be a felony to lie about it.
I agree that the voter needs to establish residence not just claim to intend to establish residence.
