Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recorded her experience getting the COVID-19 vaccine and shared it with her 8.2 million Instagram followers.
The freshman representative of parts of The Bronx and Queens on Friday night shared video of herself in the lead up to the shot — including filling out a questionnaire — the injection itself, as well as how she felt afterwards.
“I would would never, ever ask you to do something I wasn’t willing to do myself,” she wrote in the post.
The Democratic socialist also answered questions from followers, saying she was experiencing some minor symptoms after the inoculation.
“I have a little muscle soreness in my arm which is not unusual with any shot. The second thing that I’m feeling is fatigue — but also, it’s been a really long time since I had a break,” the rep said, alluding to the weekend’s marathon session on Capitol Hill.
Ocasio-Cortez also tried to explain in layman’s terms how the mRNA vaccine differs from a traditional inoculation — by teaching cells how to make a protein that triggers an immune response, instead of injecting the patient with a weakened or inactivated strain of the virus.
“It’s kind of like the difference between if you had a burglar and then he broke into your house and you learn to to fight him versus if someone gave you a picture of the burglar… if you see that picture and you see that guy walking towards your house, you’re like ‘oh I know that guy, he’s a burglar,'” the 31-year-old said.

Low risk, not old, not a “front line” worker.
Nice job cutting to the front of the line Sandy.
I agree. Why is this entitled bitch getting the shot when millions more need it before she does?
“Hi where is your source for this? I’m hardly a fanatical vaccine proponent but also not against them all.”
but not true according to Snopes and Facebook
Zzzzzzzzzzzz. With this one, it would be near-impossible to see if there were any side effects. Otherwise, I couldn’t care less about her.
ex-Pfizer head of respiratory research Dr. Michael Yeadon and the lung specialist and former head of the public health department Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg.”
Wodarg is a German physician, and Yeadon hasn’t worked for Pfizer in nine years, according to the Associated Press. Yeadon’s LinkedIn profile says he was formerly the chief scientific officer of allergy and respiratory research.
He along with several other researchers sent a Dec. 1 letter to the European Medicines Agency seeking to stop clinical trials of the Pfizer vaccine in the European Union.
“Several vaccine candidates are expected to induce the formation of humoral antibodies against spike proteins of SARS-CoV-2,” the letter says. “Syncytin-1… which is derived from human endogenous retroviruses … and is responsible for the development of a placenta in mammals and humans and is therefore an essential prerequisite for a successful pregnancy, is also found in homologous form in the spike proteins of SARS viruses. There is no indication whether antibodies against spike proteins of SARS viruses would also act like anti-Syncytin-1 antibodies. However, if this were to be the case, this would then prevent the formation of a placenta which would result in vaccinated women essentially becoming infertile.”
Can someone PLEASE explain to me WHY IN THE HELL these legislators (rulers) are getting these vaccines BEFORE the most vulnerable??
Source?
Some dude on Facebook who got it from a meme from some dude on Facebook.
She signed her name "Nancy Pelosi".
I’m not an anti-vaxxer either. But that is the concern going around. And the vaccine is not currently recommended for pregnant women.
That is the main basis of large numbers of medical workers refusing it, and of it not being required for US military people.
That’s my most current understanding of it and I’m sure an advocate will dispute the living hell out of it. But i have seen no evident that it is conclusively ruled out yet. The nay sayers just call you names and insult anyone asking the question. Hope that’s a starting place for your own questions about it.
She’s the most important person in the room! I mean, in the world! /s
She’s not even at risk.
This makes me so very ill.
Hard to get vaccine, but easy if you know who to “talk” to.
“...Sometimes that shark, he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. Y’know the thing about a shark, he’s got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn’t seem to be livin’... until he bites ya. And those black eyes roll over white, and then... oh, then you hear that terrible high-pitch screamin’, the ocean turns red, and spite of all the poundin’ and the hollerin’, they all come in and they... rip you to pieces.”
“The vaccines allotted to Congress are designed to ensure government continues to disfunction amid the plandemic.”
That is my biggest fear about nuclear war. That some damned “continuity of Government” plan will actually work and three weeks later the same idiots who caused the war will emerge from their bunkers and announce that we can all relax because they are back in command.
can we have suicide as an option?...Then ill believe her...../s

Terrifying back then. My daughter saw it later in the late 90s and just shook her head. She thought it was fake. I explained to her that it scared a generation out of the water.
All of Congress is getting it now.
Hold my beer!
Sheila Jackson-Lee’s constituents....REPEATEDLY!
Only Representatives and Senators who are 70+ should get it now. Anyone else who is really that high risk can work from home and wait their turn for their shot. That includes AOC.
I’d be funny if a year from now they discover the vaccine works perfectly, with one unusual side effect. It make people economic conservative. Next thing you know, AOC starts talking like Friedrich Hayek.
