So there is this new thing happening at my grocery store where they ask for your ID when buying a Visa gift card. They say it is for your protection in case the card is stolen and also they need to make sure the person buying it is over 18, which I clearly am.
I refused to give my ID. I said I was going right home to use up all the money on the card on online purchases, so no danger anyone steals it.
The kid said it was store policy. I said get your manager over here. The kid pushed the sale through.
That card has better work. It’s going toward my quarterly dues here.
I should think that would be obvious. He is not referring to the American "cold war" use of the word, where "dissident" was close to synonymous with "political prisoner", but the actual definition of the word.

Invisible from private entities probably. But you probably won’t be able to hide yourself from government entities. The general rule these days is that you can’t hide, but maybe, just maybe you may be able to keep a few things separated from being identified with yourself.
Isn’t this a US led and funded group? And I suspect they want to use Google-developed software?
No, you now have to declare it.
Maybe not now, but maybe soon, Americans in the 21st Century will find out the meaning of tyranny as those people in the mid to late 1700’s lived under.

I’m surprised “Employment” is not on that chart. That is the obvious way to really squeeze somebody.
Of course, “government jobs” in China could be referring to every single job in the country.
