Kamala Harris, or ‘Black Hillary’ as Redstater Jeff Charles calls her, has got to be the most cringe politician of the last decade, at least in so far as someone who has risen to the top levels of our government. To the extent that there’s a comparison, and there certainly is, she makes Hillary look charismatic.
Almost as if to provide more evidence of this, the Biden transition team decided it’d be a good idea to ask Harris what Hanukkah is about on video, because being married to a secular Jewish man apparently qualifies her to do so. What follows is one of the most awkward videos you’ll see this.
For example, did you know that Hanukkah is just about “light,” you know, because they light candles and stuff. Harris repeats that line several times in the beginning, almost as if she doesn’t know what else to say, likely because she doesn’t know what else to say.
Ben Shapiro, an Orthodox Jew, took the video apart on his show late this week.
Kamala Harris Explains What Hanukkah Is; Ben Shapiro Reacts
Remember, this video is pre-recorded. Did Harris not have a script to read? Had she not thought about what she was going to say? It sure seems like not, as she’s stumbling all over the place, seemingly making things up as she goes about a topic she’s clearly never put more then two minutes of thought into. Saying the word “light” over and over is not an actual description of Hanukkah. It’s not really about “joy” either. It’s like Harris thinks it’s imitation Christmas or something.
As Ben explains, and as anyone with any small amount of knowledge of Judaism at all knows, Hanukkah is a celebration of the retaking of the Temple by the Maccabees. It has nothing to do with modern social justice practices or helping others, another thing Harris insinuates in the video. If you want a buzzword to repeat, “dedication” would be the one to use. The lighting of the candles is to signify the miracle of a day’s worth of oil lasting eight days after the re-occupation of the Temple. The lights are symbolic. They aren’t the point of the holiday.
Ben’s video is worth the watch for the comedic value alone. The blatant pandering is really something to behold.
Maybe Harris will become a political dynamo by 2024, but I’m not seeing it. I can’t imagine she does any better running for president in the future vs. how she did in 2020. Actually, I should say 2019 because her campaign didn’t even make it to the 2020 portion of the cycle. She was that bad.
Every voter who voted for Harris in the Democrat primaries, pmease raise your hand.
The hair stood up on the back of my head just thinking about it, I can’t look
If I recall correctly, practically nobody voted for her.
My bad. Turns out she never even made it into the primaries.
you are CORRECT
It’s all about thanking G_d for not running out of oil.
What does he mean about the creator of Kwanza composting his girlfriend? I know he was convicted of torturing some women but I am unaware of any murder.
The Democrats have to be worried about what happens when Biden passes the torch. All they can count on is that the media will cover and lie for her, but will it be enough?
She’s going to be the most awesomest president ever!
What’s even sadder is that that piece was pre-packaged. Scripted, edited and produced to make her look warm and fuzzy.
Now aks her about Kwanza’a.
If her brain was a tree, it would be a bonsai.
It's about fuel economy!
Shapiro needs to find the difference between a diktat and a dictate.
Resign from your $inate seat.
This reminded me how many 1000s of years man relied on oil or paraffin for light at night ....before gas or electricity just became
Boom
Breaking News
Practical technology today elvolves so fast yet oil or fat based lighting to see at night remained static for so long
Ancient Hebrews had it....how long did oil based lighting exist before that
I’ll look it up ...music playing ....Candles in the Wind Melanie
France 15,000 Year old cave....Neolithic
First candles
Much later....maybe Latter Egypt or early Rome
“It’s about fuel economy!”
HaHa! The ho missed an opportunity to segue into a green new deal rant.
