Yes, but isn't the DOJ only able to accuse, indict, and charge? Don't they still need the courts (the judiciary) to convict?

Congressmember can protest the certification or group of electors.
Put it simply, our government is too large to manage, hence why this suppose steal is easy to pull off (And who knows how long its been going on).
State certification has nothing to do with anything.
The new Congress will assemble in Joint Session on January 6, count the votes, and that will be that. The Democrats will have a majority in that Joint Session, and even if they didn’t, most of the elected Republicans want Trump gone as well.

All 50 states have already certified their elections. They had to in order to appoint their electors who will meet and vote tomorrow.

Legal or not, votes will be certified and congress will accept them. We’re heading into kookiness now.
the only “catch” is getting the key State Legislatures to DAMN well stand up and do the right thing. Will they be forced to ?
What if Pence refuses to count the electors from contested states?
Doesn’t it then go to Congress and Dem. GOVs and SOS’, which will need to be heard at SCOTUS?

Thank you for making the distinction, most don't see the difference. The Electoral College is the end all by the power of their Legislatures, mot by State "certification:. If 26 States controlled by Republican Legislature's Electoral Votes go to Trump - win. Even if not, I've read that if there is no 270 Electoral Votes for one candidate, it then it goes to the House where each State gets one vote.
I've been told I'm wrong on that point. Am I wrong?
