Why Rush Limbaugh Was Right When He Said America Is “Trending Toward Secession”

It’s ultimately about the fact that for a country to hold together there need to be a lot of shared values. If half the country believes in the values that made America successful in the first place while the other half of the country is demanding to live in some sort of atheistic socialist utopia that hates everything those other people believe in and stand for, we have what is known in a marriage as irreconcilable differences. Once our value systems are that far apart, there is no such thing as a win/win situation. This is why the standard political strategy for both sides is now to refuse to work with the other side as much as possible in hopes that the public will blame the people in charge for the inaction. Cooperation between both sides collapses because anything one side favors is considered to be taking the country in the wrong direction by the other side.

Quite frankly, if the country were more easily geographically divided up as it was in the Civil War, the nation may have already broken apart. That doesn’t mean that’s a good thing or that it has to go that way, but it does mean people should be much more concerned about this possibility than they seem to be today. The success we enjoy today is largely the result of the work, culture, and foresight of previous generations of Americans. There are absolutely no guarantees that we will continue to live in a country that is strong, prosperous, free, or even together as a nation in the next few years or decades to come. That depends on all of us across the ideological spectrum, which given the state of the country over the last few years, should scare the hell out of everyone.

no

people arent going to leave their state and stuff to have to go in and fight and take it back

its going to be instant battlegrounds everywhere

some places majority whatever will be easier for one side or the other to take over

but going from a county perspective, we’ve got more high grpund than they do, by far

I suggest a Kumbaya movement, where Trump supporters earnestly and from the heart reach across the abyss and slap the living crap out of the antifa Nazis.

We don’t need to go all the way to secession.

Why couldn’t we, instead, create a union of “Constitution Sanctuary” states, where any “law”, executive order, or regulation which goes against the Constitution is openly ignored and defied? States where gun and ammo companies can manufacture and sell and citizens can buy and carry, where it is against OUR laws to censor speech, or trample religious expression or activity, where drilling and fracking will continue, where private healthcare is protected and permitted across the states, where there are TWO genders recognized and males compete/use gym locker rooms/bathrooms only with other males (but how they dress on their own time is their own business,), where we do not make any concessions/give any freebies to illegals, nor voting privileges, schools MUST teach true American History, etc.

What could “they” rationally do about it? Withhold federal funds? Okay. Our freedom is worth it. We could even put a moratorium for some length of time on democrats running for any state-based office, including senate. Only democrat that could possibly be on the ballot would be POTUS until “they” return to Constitutional government. Again, what can they do about it? Apparently, our country is now a free for all of everyone on the left doing anything they want, so we can do the same thing in our own states, and ignore them.

The other things we can do are enact extremely tight voting laws, with photo identification, any absentee has to be for a reason and be notarized, and the photo identification still has to be photocopied and attached, NO harvesting, all ballots to have tracking to and from the voter with a log kept, etc. - and just to be extra sure that they can’t manipulate our states again, allot electoral votes by district, so even with dems on the ballots, the cities can’t drag the whole state down.

We don’t have to have war to fight back. Passive aggressive works just as well. They want to act like arrogant jackboots, fine. They can do that to each other. We can ignore their BS and do what We The People want to do in OUR states. Doesn’t get more Constitutional than that.

Probably would be smart to allot electoral votes by district. That way, no matter how many ballots they stuff, they still only get the districts they have, and that’s it.

Allot the senators according to how many districts they’ve won in the state instead of by state’s popular vote.

They don’t deserve for us to be “fair”, now that they’ve shown how willing they are to cheat and steal and rub our faces in it.

I think it would be desirable to separate ourselves from the socialist states.

“How would you possibly “upgrade” a Constitution many would consider the most brilliant ever conceived in human history, thanks to the infinite wisdom of our Founding Fathers?”

Maybe you didn’t read my post where I actually suggested improvements.

They think their comfort zones are gonna get a whole lot bigger, but I don’t think we’re gonna see any real New Normal(s), just an extremely uncomfortable present tense for a few years, and I’m very uncomfortable with the idea that I’d still be expected to follow some of the same rules and laws that others have broken and continue to break with impunity. This “world” of theirs doesn’t even exist until you try to imagine it. However, there are no picture-perfect worlds that could be developed and maintained by groups of individuals, tribes, communes, co-op’s, etc. like those we have been seeing and hearing in action for at least 6 months now. What they and the MSM, or media wing of the Democrat Party, have created for themselves is a pseudoverse where they own it, they control it, they update it, they protect it, they swear by it and expect everyone else to believe what they instinctively know not to be true. I wish I had a rocking chair, a jug of moonshine, a 12-guage 2x barrel shotgun and a case of shells I could sit out on my front porch with...and a pronounced nervous tick in my right eye that kicks in every time I think about it.

I am with you on all of this. Thank you. There are other ideas about other ways to set up states I like equally well. I appreciate what everyone has contributed. Let’s not waste time setting this up. And, please, leave room for people like me who need to move OUT of the state we are in and find a new home...not necessarily a better home, but more in keeping with our understanding of what the Constitution and Bill of Rights actually says and means as we conservatives and Republicans understand it. We will have to vote to determine what we do.

Let’s start the Grand leaving...not next year but very, very soon.

Amen!

I’m all for anything we can legally accomplish without bloodshed which will allow likeminded patriots to live according to our Constitution, with all of our freedoms firmly intact. The thought of our entire country being handed over to socialism/communism, China, the UN, the globalists of the “Great Reset”, is just horrifying, and completely unacceptable.

Dust bowel? Is that what the preacher’s telling about when he’s praying and says “Oh Lord, we are but dust...”?

And the death penalty for any legislator voting for any bill that diminishes individual freedom & responsibility, or any executive that signs it?

but they won’t be able to drive us out

Maybe not; but, they seem to be doing a damn good job at cutting off our means of communicating with one another. I am actually a little surprised, not that they are doing what they are doing; but, that it is happening so quickly.
