Tucked in the article is a comment about the first rescue dog to live in the White House. I asked myself - is Trump getting a dog? Nope, they are talking about Biden taking his rescue dog to live in the White House. Grrrrrr.

Racing greyhounds I’m pretty sure are faster, but they not AKC-registered, nor are they ‘mixed breeds’ so from the sound of the article, they didn’t compete.

Anyway, don’t know how they know what breeds go into this mutt, but if that’s correct, they’re all greyhounds. I was going to guess maybe it was also partly a long haired Portuguese Podengo, which would still be a greyhound.

She won the trial going 32 mph. That doesn’t mean she’s the fastest dog in America just that she was fastest there. It’s winning the biggest event in a really obscure competition . (I like that idea so I’m going to try this with my dog)
32 mph is very fast but Greyhounds (Whippets too) are faster dogs. Their fastest competitor averaged over 36 mph this year.
I have a friend whose dog does this. The dog loves it.
