I found that aspect most interesting as described in “The Gulag Archipelago”...the political prisoners were treated the worst, and the actual criminals were treated with respect by their jailors, receiving better and more food, better clothes, early releases...
Like many religions (Islam being foremost) and Communism/Leftism being just another one...they had a special level of hatred and venom for apostates, true believers who no longer believe...like people who saw issues with the Soviet Union (or any other Communist state) and therefore became impure, and...apostates.
I have always found that to be one of the frighteningly prescient parts of Orwell’s “1984”, again with the common criminals being treated better, and the “apostates” being sent to Room 101 to finish the ideological cleansing process.
The Left is pure, unadulterated evil. No doubt about it.

One can only note that the more radical left in this
country have already started making lists of those
who had the temerity to oppose them in order to
punish/re-educate them to the new order.
It is happening right in front of our eyes.
Yet there are vast numbers of sleeping sheep
who call us socialists/nazis and picture Trump
as Hitler.
My own sister sad to say.
Yes. I know. My oldest brother is one of those. They had some kind of connection to the scummy Tim Kaine people, and were all in on it.
When Trump was elected, my brother sent me an email I don’t think he meant to go to me (it was a distribution list) and it was all in on the “resistance”.
I haven’t talked to him in a while, he only lives a few miles away. I don’t hate him or anything like that. But my respect for him is so low that I simply don’t want to associate with him.
I suppose I will come to grips with it at some point. I suppose you of all people probably know what I mean.
These people, both the active and passive useful idiots, as well as the fervent Leftists who serve as the foot soldiers and the cannon fodder of the Left, don’t realize that if the people they worship obtain power, and are allowed to follow the path Leftists inevitably do, that they are likely the first ones who are going to be round up and dragged away.
They are the ones who will scream “Why are you doing this? I supported you and am on your side!” as they are dragged away.
I tried to tell my sister that the election wasn’t over

and America was Nazi Germany.
There is no reasoning with that.
Sad. Those types of people exhibit all the signs of being mentally ill.
Ask her what Nazi means....
Then ask her if a socialist govt is a right wing thing, or a left wing thing?
National Socialist Worker’s Party.... hardly a thing that a conservative would lead/support.
I get looks of disbelief from people when I tell them Hitler was the socialist candidate who lost his election to a conservative.
On YouTube you can see some of Hitler’s speeches while campaigning. They are in many cases translated with subtitles. I watched a few and was amazed at how candid he was... he pulled no punches... he promised to take vengeance against the enemies as he saw them.
Just one example. He enjoyed watching film of the gruesome executions he ordered of anyone involved in the assassination plot.
Making them fear the consequences of their behavior is the only way to stop them.
Cooper advocated the judicious use of suppressed .22s for riot control. Identify and disable the people running the operation on the street.
All it takes is the political will to do it.
It was essentially a corollary to Durkheim's Constant long before Durkheim. Adams recognized that liberty, unchecked by personal morality, would either devolve into libertinism, tyranny, or as we are on the verge of embracing, a sick blend of the two.
The communist true believers in our schools and media have so inverted public morality that what were once considered deviant behaviors are now embraced and celebrated amongst some of the most traditional institutions, and what were once considered moral, righteous behaviors and attitudes are now being criminalized. The pillars that our society, civilization and culture were built upon are quickly decaying, and complete collapse seems near inevitable.
