She the “the only one” who can try someone for treason?
I appreciate that is not the intent of the writer, but the wording is dramatic. Every writer is jacking up their word valence in an attempt to be heard over the noise.
Some of these stories are just over the top.
In any event, none of these crimes fit the definition of treason as we haven’t been at “war” since the last 1940’s. The term is sedition. Or Conspiracy. But not Treason.

You have misread the statement.
1. Powell is certified as a “Military” lawyer.
2. Only “Military” lawyers can prosecute treason at a tribunal.
The treason would come into play if their nefarious behavior included “collusion” with a foreign power, of which taking their money is such.

Treason:
Treason is the only crime defined in the U.S. Constitution. According to Article III, Section 3:
“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.”
Who knows if the original post is true. BUT, you are clearly wrong about what she may know about treason. You have no way of knowing what evidence she has. She would be an outright moron to spill it outside the courtroom. I don’t believe she is a moron — in fact, she appears to be the exact opposite of a moron!
As for your statement about being at war. War is not necessarily dropping bombs and shooting at each other! We were in a “cold war” with the USSR for over 30 years and we never fired a shot at one another. War today can take many forms (hacking an election, buying off a candidate, sending us hidden spy bugs in their electronics to subvert our society and military, etc.).
Somebody pulled a humdinger of a number on us and I doubt if they did it all alone.
She could well prosecute for treason. I would settle for fraud or sedition. Any of those work for me.
By the way, what do you call that happened to General Flynn? Spied on by someone in his own country and then badgered by the FBI to confess to a crime he did not commit — when the badgers knew there was no crime? Sounds pretty bad to me!
Why are so many posters trying so hard to say there’s no treason?
All it takes is seditious acts with the aid of a foreign agent.

Thank you. I am surprised at the way some toss around the word “treason” when none of the criminal actions discussed involve treason- courtesy of my 7th grade history teacher:)
The “definition” of war has changed a great deal since then, FRiend. See: Vietnam War (not a police action)it was a war.
We have never left the OFFICIAL War on Terror national security status since before 9-11-2001. Before then. And there are Executive Orders (prior Presidents, and this one) still in force.
