Kansas is preparing to launch a media campaign aimed at getting more of its residents to wear masks so that the coronavirus doesn’t keep spreading rapidly. Some officials are skeptical that it will move the needle much.
A mask mandate from Democratic Governor Laura Kelly is set to take effect Wednesday, but Kansas law allows the state’s 105 counties to opt out. The governor is asking each county to develop its own local mask order, and if they don’t do so by Wednesday a statewide order will be in effect.
The state has set aside $1.5 million for television, radio, print and social media ads promoting masks that are set to start before Thanksgiving. But some officials worry that politics are driving resistance to masks and others suggest that people already are bombarded with pro-mask messages.

We have been under mask mandates for MONTHS, yet the numbers are rising. Common sense says the maskS DO NOT WORK. Common sense is not common.
I DEMAND more clamoring.
So...let me get this straight.
Let’s ASSUME that masks work.
If masks work, then only non mask wearers would spread the virus.
Out of all the non mask wearers, ONLY those actually infected spread the disease. Which leaves a very, very small percentage of people to spread the disease over such a large area.
Again, with the assumption that masks work, then only non mask wearers would acquire the virus. Which is not the case.
Yeah, our infected gov insists he always followed all the mask and hand washing mandates and he got it. An acquaintance that has contracted it, and insists he uses/used all the required PPE and cdc protocols, says that OBVIOUSLY he got it from some one refusing to wear a mask or follow cdc guidelines. Uh, okee dokee.
And, based on the latest calculations, 300+ million Americans have not contracted or died from CV-19. Weird huh? Nature’s culling?
Dp0622 that’s what I say too. :) Here in Washington state, there is starting to be an active resistance to the latest shutdown, and I am busy going to any restaurant in my area that has taken a stand to remain open. So there goes my savings but well worth it.
The masks are nothing more than symbols of subjugation. Period. They also give the wearers a false sense of security. During this pandemic I have been shocked to see how truly stupid that the masses really are.
It’s admirable that you do that.
I have never seen people comply so easily.
But sometimes what can one do?
I went to get a new tire (Was driving on a spare) and the guy screamed at me “can’t come in without a mask!!”.
On Staten Island. A conservative area. I wanted to slap him.
But I needed my tire changed because I take my mom to the doctors and other places.
So I put a mask on. Hated it.
Yeah, you know, way out in the willywags of Kansas, when you’re on your tractor and there’s not another soul around for miles . . .

I still want someone to tell me why, after all these months of mask wearing and lockdowns, the supposed number of new cases is skyrocketing? Completely contradicts the efficacy of masks.
I don’t know this whole thing is insane.
Can you imagine hating a man and his followers so much that you would conspire with a foreign govt to destroy the world economy and cause many elderly folks’ deaths just to make him look bad and get to have mail in ballots?
It’s sickening.
If masks worked all of the locked down/face mask required regions would not be spiking
Covid is very contagious, and we aren’t going to stop it. I’m in the midst of having it, my husband has it to. Let is run its course, if you have health issues and are concerned isolate yourself.
