The Wisconsin Elections Commission is refusing to do a statewide recount unless President Donald Trump pays them $7.9 million upfront beforehand.
The $7.9 million is the cost estimate of the cost submitted by Wisconsin county clerks.
"We still have not received any indication that there will or will not be a recount,” said Meagan Wolfe, Wisconsin’s chief election official. “But we want Wisconsin’s voters to know we are ready.”
Breaking 911 reports that “part of that readiness includes collecting recount cost estimates from all 72 counties and assembling a statewide estimate, which must be paid before any recount can begin.”

#14. Agree that Trump et al should pay for the recount and as you mentioned, “if the recounts shows that there was a miscount and/or voter fraud, the state should be held responsible for their mistakes (or criminal acts, INCLUDING THOSE OF THE WISCONSIN ELECTION COMMISSION).
Make them pay a penalty for their misconduct, civil or criminal, or both.
Put them to the legal wall and AIM for the heart.
The margin doesn’t meet the statutory requirement for a free recount. Challengers have to pay the cost. That’s how it is.

Doing a recount because of a credible suspicion of a crime shouldn’t come with a price tag.
A real American judge would simply order it. Especially in a federal election.
If he pays, the dems will say, “Trump bought the election!”
Regardless, one could argue that those counting the votes were not only irresponsible but could be accused of being complicit in voter fraud.

Why would you do that? By my math, this makes no sense. Anyway that is a terrible thing to say.
That’s change to the party. They should offer it up so long as there is proper observers and that it is a ballot by ballot recount, and that the laws of the state are explicitly followed. No big deal. Take them up on it and get the recount underway.

This is extortion, not blackmail. As such, the head of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, Meagan Wolfe, should be indicted on a federal warrant for extortion.

Only if it’s a hand recount and the fraudulent mail in ballots are thrown out.
