As Ive written the last few days, Fox News has fully well and decided to burn their audience to the ground (see Fox News Decides to Fully Set Themselves On Fire as Ratings Collapse). What the motivation behind that is may not be completely clear, but things were taken far enough that even Tucker Carlson threw shade at the formerly top rated cable stations management last night (see Civil War: Tucker Carlson Hits His Own Network In Epic Post-Election Monologue).

Now, its becoming apparent that things are even worse than original thought. The ratings for Saturday are out, and they are an absolute disaster for Fox News.

These are time slots that Fox News normally dominates almost top to bottom. Instead, they are getting beat by MSNBC and CNN almost across the board. While some of this can be explained by Democrats tuning in for more cover of Joe Biden, that doesnt explain the drop in numbers for each individual Fox News show in comparison to their normal ratings. People are tuning out, and its becoming very obvious why.
Im sure you will see some of these numbers rebound during the week because of the sheer magnitude of the audiences of Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity. Yet, doesnt that point to the broader problem? How long can Fox News continue to survive off the spoils of three hosts who the hard news division continues to spit on? As Carlson pointed out last night, you cant simply cut away from coverage you dont like as if you are CNN light and expect people to trust you. The trust deficit at Fox News, specifically regarding the hard news division, is at an all time low. People have been lied to and mislead by partisan figures like Chris Wallace for much of the election season. If Trump is ousted from the presidency, the angst will only grow.
Will the management realize this and begin to offer apologies for some of their bad decision making? With Paul Ryan in charge, I have my doubts. But theres no doubt thats what it will take to regain their footing. When the hard news hosts operate in bad faith, taking shots at their own audience, that never works out well. If changes are made, and made fast, those people are going to end up at another network or website.
ATLAS SHRUGGED COMING ALSO!
Fox has always been just another outlet of the Ministry of Propaganda.
They used conservative prime time shows as cover.
Watched Greg Kelly on NewsMax at 4 o’clock PT and now watching Stinchfield. Both are having fun skewering Faux News Channel.
“You just can’t cut away from coverage you don’t like!”
Watch us, Tucker. All 72 million of us.
The wives of the Murdoch sons should LOVE their reduced income...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
It is so easy to do. Just change the channel to something else. No one needs to watch any Cable News channel for information. And stay away from Hannity. That guy was around on Day 1. He has made gazillions off of those that watch his show and gazillions for the Murdochs. How he can sit there, collect a check, and watch what Cavuto, Sandra Smith, Stirewalt (to name a few)—and even Melissa Francis who got her ass canned because that liberal virus has so infected Fox—can masquerage as having an ounce of integrity disgusts me. Laura Ingraham ain’t much better.
Seriously, you will get enough information about the election on this page, Ace, and Townhall.
And I do admit I have been enjoying them torch their co-workers in ways subtle enough not to violate their contracts.
Fox had two choices: snuggle up to millions of viewers or Paul Ryan. Fox chose to get amorous with Paul Ryan.
I am sure Fox will try to get back its audience. It won’t work. To hell with them.
No Fox for me. I really like Grant Stinchfield, Greg Kelly and Chris Salcedo.
Don’t have to look at that stupid grin of Laura’s and “it’s all about me” Hannity.
You can catch The Five on youtube later in the day. They post it each day. I refuse to watch Fox, but I do watch Tucker, Inghram, and The Five on youtube.
You read ace too?
I wondered if I annoyed people by posting a lot of articles from there
POTUS wants me to watch Hannity but I don’t want to give FOX the ratings.
I think Fox is hoping they can recover as Biden takes over, if he does and the three hosts are making so much money they are not likely to leave.
I don't think daytime Fox News recovers. People don't like to be betrayed.
Ill watch Hannity because PDJT is going to be on.
Im watching Stinchfield right now. He and Kelly are a breath of fresh air. Finally, an honest news channel.
I like Tucker but I refuse to watch Fox. So happy that Tucker joined Parler.
The hardest thing is trying to convince my elderly mother to quit watching ABC News. I have won her over to Newsmax but, come 5:30, she turns on ABC. The liars at ABC raise my blood pressure.
I also watch Tucker Carlson. I am watching, or rather listening to him right now. I will be watching Hannity when he comes on, but maybe not the whole 60 minutes. I won't make it for the Ingram Angle though.
Fire Paul Ryan? What for? He’s not on Fox News
Michael Barone never would have effed up their election night calls like they did.
Fox tried to torpedo Trump election night. They tried to assassinate his second term. They must be fully and permanently banned. They can’t be trusted. They are the enemy.
