“This is what we know. We have to go back to the state level and how this morass came to be in the first instance. I think the USSC is more likely to rectify the problem than the state legislatures.

There’s laws about accepting ballots past a legal deadline. It’s clear the strategy is to mix ballots of invalid origin with valid ballots to insure they’re not removed because then ‘good’ ballots are kept from being counted. And the tactic has been modified so that ‘bad’ ballots are distributed into batches of Trump majority ballots so they would be discounted instead of solely discounting the Biden
ballots.

BUT the voters are responsible for selecting their Secretaries of State to make elections secure and accurate. If they fail to do that by re-electing Secretaries of State who create chaos at the ballot box, then they lose their representation in selecting the President and Congressional representatives. It’s only fair. Read the US Constitution - the Framers already thought of this over 200 years ago.

More than anything else, I love watching Trump and his team fight.

They are fighting for me.

If the SC just reaffirms STATE LAW before the State Court and the Governor usurped it in Direct Violation of the US Constitution, the Game is OVER!!!

I believe the law stated that all Ballots not received by 8pm were invalid, at 8 pm Trump was up 600k votes

Well, SCOTUS could PUNT to the cognizant State Legislatures, OR simply order the State to adhere to their State law as presently constituted.

At this point, Pennsylvania has not counted any of the “set-aside, post-election” ballots. They are only counting ballots received by the day of the election.

Some states had real laws on the books, for some time, allowing properly post-marked ballots received after the election.

And EVERY state is required to accept late military ballots, properly postmarked before the election, 7 days after election day.

However, for election integrity, it would be best if we had a national rule that all ballots cast must make it into the hands of the government election boards by the close of voting. That would eliminate any question that all the votes were cast before anybody knew the results.

Need specifics. It could be that they received the ballots by the deadline but they were not finished counting at the time.

But at 8pm, they had no counted any of the millions of absentee ballots that had been properly cast and received before the election. You knew only the results from electronic machines that were able to quickly be collected and sent.

We have NEVER counted “all the votes” by the close of voting.

We COULD change rules to allow states to start counting absentee ballots before election day, but that opens up a bigger fraud, where early vote totals can be leaked to help get more people to the polls. Better to have the counting continue a few days after the election, than starting the count before the election.

The biggest fraud we know about in PA are going to be small things — the release of “bad-ballot” absentee data on the day of the election, to allow democrat operatives to find voters who screwed up and drag them to the polls for provisional voting — which is explicitly prohibited. But there are only a few hundred cases of that to be found.

And the counties that, weeks ago, sent out notices to voters who seemed to have messed up, allowing them to fix things — also prohibited by law, but something the voters could learn for themselves by watching a web site, if the government always maintained the web site.

And I don’t think it is a bad thing if all adjudications of absentee ballots are immediately posted to a web site, allowing voters to find if their vote counted, and fix it if not — the issue is only a few counties doing these things, and the possibility that they only contacted people they thought would vote democrat. No evidence of that has been presented yet.

I don't think that the SCOTUS would be doing their constitutional duty if they punt. They need to order the state to adhere to the current state laws.

If the state still doesn't comply, THEN it would be the state legislatures job to pick the electors.

Ballots received by 8:00 PM is not the same thing as ballots counted by 8:00 PM.

elections for president affect all of us....when one state breaks the law in favor of one candidate it effectively disenfranchises me....

we are being disenfranchised by a handful of states that are taking more power then they legally should have....

one man...one vote....
