Or, Trump can ask for a recount (as he has said he will do in Wisconsin) and then take it a step further, take this into territory we have never been before… And that’s where I think we might be headed should Trump end up contesting the election.
Trump is not just going to contest the election and demand every vote be counted. No, my guess is that he’s going to contest the election and demand every vote be verified.
Verifying every vote is a very different thing from counting every vote.
We know who voted. Whether it was in-person or through the mail, we know who voted. We don’t know who this person voted for, but every voter reveals their name and address when they vote.
That’s where I believe Trump might go with this.
There’s no question Trump believes he’s a victim of voter fraud. He’s complained about this countless times over the years, did so again on Tuesday night when he essentially declared himself the winner of the 2020 election, and did so Wednesday morning….
“Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled,” Trump tweeted. “Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!”
The key phrase there is “surprise ballot dump.”
The Trump campaign is also saying Trump will win after every “legal vote” is counted....

Exactly what should happen
As I said, EVERY STINKING BALLOT PRODUCED AND EXAMINED.
If they cannot be produced, that state’s results are INVALIDATED.
Not sure if he has the appetite for that. Also, for such lawsuits to succeed, the State SOS needs to cooperate, like Katherine Harris did in 2000 in Florida. If the SOS certifies the election, not sure that leaves us a lot of room.

if they find a few bogus ballots, wouldn’t that open up a lawsuit demanding verification of all the ballots?

Object to evert ballot cast for Biden and make those voters show up to the county courthouse at a scheduled time and affirm in front of a judge that they cast the vote.

all ballots must be verified. As Rush was stating today, not ballots but LEGAL votes must be counted
We don’t need to verify 60 million votes. We do need to start verifying ballots from the overnight ballot dump. Did those people actually vote and in only one state? Do they even exist? Are they still alive? I’d like to see an FBI team the size of our responses for other major national crises (such as a possible noose in a NASCAR garage) descend on Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona to find out.
He BELIEVES he is a victim of voter fraud? Umm no. He IS a victim of voter fraud! (and US)
That always has been the issue — verifying that the ballot was cast by a legally qualified and registered voter, and that a voter cast only one ballot.
Michigan’s Secretary of State is a flaming leftist. Not like 2016 when we had Republicans in all the top spots.

Please elaborate.
I’m beginning to think we should chuck the secret ballot altogether. Each ballot should be named for each person and numbered. That way you can verify and confirm each ballot has been legally cast and counted.
