A lot of European elections have huge numbers of blank ballots

A really dumb way to protest, a blank ballot just allows someone else to mark it for you. If you truly can't chose, then mark both candidates which would prevent someone else picking one or the other for you.

There were two uncontested candidates for Sherrif and property appraiser on my ballot (both Dems), so for Sherrif I wrote in my father, for property appraiser, I wrong in “Deez Nutz”.

Welcome!

MDer too!

Central, no less. I’m in Kommieland.

Seems you missed our caravan the other day!

Oh, and I guess you know you could’ve continued your tradition, but like Gov Larry Hogan, voted write-in Reagan!

Easy. You just ignore it or write “N/A”

I’ve done it lots what with 4 decades’ worth of music polling fun here.

I voted for Nader instead of Bush. My hope was that the Green Party would get enough votes (5% of the popular) that they would become a nationally recognized party and would be allowed into the debates.

I was hoping that the Green Party would siphon off enough votes from the Dems that it would give the Republicans some breathing room until we can get a handle on immigration.

But that "strategery" didn't pan out.

I did too. Nothing the matter with that. I strayed one time and voted for the midget Ross and ended up with eight years of Clinton.

It’s not in vain FRiend.

We actually have a fighter as our President.

We need to pray really hard for tonight and for his cabinet to be supernaturally protected from the enemy deep state.

Congratulations! I appreciate your realization that this election, in particular, is too important for a protest vote. Go Navy!

My Philosophy is you Vote for YOUR Candidate in the Primary and you Vote for your Party's Candidate in the General.

That being said, welcome aboard The Trump Train.

You were right writing in your own name in the past... Wish I had done the same with Romney and McCain...

You were right then - and you’re right now.

Congrats Trueblackman.

In my lifetime, I am proud of two votes. Reagan and Trump. Three votes in about an hour.

For most I am ambivalent. There is exactly one vote I’m ashamed of. The moron governor Hogan.

Showed up @0630, long line, left, came back @0915 still same line, got in line anyways. Took two hours to vote, worth every minute of it in WV.

That may not happen, since European voting is actually more secure than ours (a lot of countries vote on-line) but the effect is the same...if you don’t vote for someone or some party, essentially you’re giving your vote to other people who do vote - not necessarily for the person you’d like.
