Californians are fleeing in record numbers for red states like Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. New York City is emptying out as people with means relocate; many are going to Florida. For reasons only the Heavens know, there are normal people still living in Portland.
It is not hard to see what is happening: People are fed up with the overreach of Democrat-monopolized government. Their policies are inhibiting the possibility of retaining personal independence and achieving any sense of self-fulfillment. This is on top of not being able to provide basic safety to citizens.
Once these blue state refugees resettle, will they reflect on what drove them out and change their own beliefs and value systems? I am not optimistic based on my interactions with these people.

No they will not reflect on the political piece of the problems of the places they move away from.. They don’t think that Democrats running all these cities has anything to do with the problems found there.
I’ve found it weirdly makes them even more liberal.
Once away from high taxes, crime, sh** on the streets, and safely tucked-away in a clean and safe conservative town or suburb, they are free from those nasty things that caused their cognitive dissonance. They ironically return to being, once again, single-mindedly leftist.
Baffling that of 330,000,000 citizens, Democrats opt to run ... a rich white male insider whose prime achievement was a bill incarcerating vast numbers of blacks, with a running mate who got zero support as a presidential candidate.
"Corn Pop" could be the Democrat Presidential nominee and the overwhelming majority of Democrats would still vote for him ...... and he's a "bad dude."
As far as Democrats are concerned, it really doesn't matter who their Presidential nominee is, Kamala Harris, Corn Pop, Castro, Karl Marx, biden, AOC, Hitler, Stalin, George Soros, Mao, Putin, Ilhan Omar, as long as that nominee is not a Republican, that's who they're gonna excitedly vote for.
They learn nothing. Being liberals they are incapable of observing the world as it exists and then learning from mistakes. They are locusts that destroy everything they touch.
History shows that when the libs flee high taxes and go to a red state the idiots make it just like the place they left.

People get stuck due to elderly family they can’t leave, jobs they don’t want to abandon, real estate they can’t easily sell. It’s much easier for people who grew up in a beautiful area to be in denial/hope things will get better, than to admit defeat and slink away.
Well, you see, it’s like this. The reasons Democrat rule hasn’t worked is because the right Democrats haven’t been elected. If we elect the right democrats, then utopia will be here.
It’s like the socialist claiming that the reason socialism has failed is because true socialism hasn’t been tried.
That’s so unfortunate. I just can’t imagine being so obtuse that I’d vote for the same policies that destroyed the place I just moved away from!
