Most Americans of all stripes flatter themselves that somehow we Americans are better than others. The sense that we are smarter, more civilized, built a greater country, just have something in us that makes us better because we live here. Even most leftists feel that way, quietly complimenting themselves that somehow they are better for being here in the America they hate.
We soon shall see.

But this election also will cast light on what happens when half an electorate goes to vote without knowing half of what has transpired the previous four years and without even knowing what they do not know....

There’s a big difference between then and now . Back in those days the non-pliant populous had nowhere near the personal firepower which millions of American poses today . Unarmed ‘masses had no choice but to submit to the politically controlled armed forces. We have a choice . Try and oull.that shit here and now and see what happens . Furthermore , the U.S. military will not follow the orders of some new ,socialist/commie, insane regime. Regardless of ‘ the Constitution, or the stupid , asinine, voters that out them in to power. We will see a purge and a ‘clensing’ of this nation that will be historic . Forward to the foe. Lock & load.

I’ve always reserved my greatest contempt for the media - one expects the Democrat party to be who they are: greedy, venal opportunists of the worst order. But the media have a specific responsibility - to shine the light of truth on all in the political realm, and instead they’ve become little more than shills and enablers for the worst in our public sector. The guy who wrote this article does an excellent job in making the latter point.
If Trump were really Hitler, a lot of Dems would be lampshades by now.

Very much disagree. There is little difference between Mao and Hitler in terms of thuggery, but the modern Chinese economy is virtually identical to NAZI Germany’s and nothing like Mao’s vision. Since the CCP owns the Dems and the CCP is now the NAZIs rather than Maoists, I’m gonna say that the Dems owe more to Hitler than Mao. Add to that the fact that the NAZIs got a lot of their ideology from the Dems in the first place and you see that it comes full circle and the Dems really haven’t changed all that much since the Progressive Era.
