Posted on 10/28/2020 7:35:08 AM PDT by PJ-Comix
New York Times columnist Ross Douthat should be thankful that most people at his newspaper are now working from home. Otherwise he could risk being surrounded by the Red Guards types there angrily enforcing the prevalent leftist orthodoxy.
So what was Douthat's sin? Well, he actually criticized the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story by social media and the mainstream media. Yes, there is a certain very grudging toleration for conservatives in name only such as David Brooks but Douthat might have gone too much over the line for the Times' Red Guardians despite putting in a few obligatory shots at President Trump on Tuesday in "The Medias Hunter Biden Conundrum."

Has he been marched out by the NKVD and shot yet?
He’ll be lucky to keep his head, much less his job..................
Punch probably has already signed it.
No one by the name of Ross Douthat has ever written for the New York Times.
The media dug into the high school yearbook of Brett Kavanaugh looking for evidence.
They will not look into Hunters laptop and completely ignore it.
If I didn’t know better I would think some liberal bias might be going on with the media.
This is great, but I have to pause mid-read to snap, “Matt Taibbi is not a gadfly.” At this point, he’s the Assange of the non-imprisoned journalist population, in terms of fairness.
I’m guessing the poster implied that that Douthat would soon become persona non grata at the Slimes.
No matter how it turns out for him Im going to reward him for his at least marginal show of integrity by ceasing calling him Asshat. Its the least I can do
Okay, having finished it, the NYT’s piece still a pretty soft-pedal of the fact that Hunter Biden is on the board of foreign oil while Joe Biden promises to dismantle American oil, and that the Bidens clearly used Bobulinski to set up a shell corporation and then cut him out when they realized he wanted to do it “by the book.”
It's Pooch. First it was Punch Sulzberger. Then his son, Pinch. And now it is his grandson, Pooch.
Just out of curiosity, I clicked on the homepage of too-many-to-count ‘news organizations’ this morning and there no doubt that there is a full-on total organized blackout by the LSM. It’s not just a case of not making a ‘passing reference’, there is nothing at all.. zero, zilch, nadda. It’s not a surprise there is a blackout... what I find stunning is that they could organize it that well.... and yet everyone I speak to seems to know something about it so clearly the efforts to squelch the story have failed.
Let me ask a pertinent question.... has anyone seen a piece on the Bobulinski story in any LSM at all?
By end of day Douthat will get the Marsahl Yezhov damnatio memoriae treatment.
Is that the guy that vanished from Stalin’s side?
Airbrushed from history.
FWIW, I graduated from the same high school as Douthat though many years earlier
So did Dr Spock.
