What power do you perceive Gowdy had in a Demorat House? All he did was highlight, and that is the extent of what he could do.

Democrat House? Gowdy was Paul Ryan’s wingman in a GOP House. Gowdy was a key player in legitimizing the Mueller Coup and Democrat seizure of the Trump DOJ. One particular Gowdy lowlight of the mid term campaign season Fake News TV blitz was when he admonished POTUS to “act innocent if he is.” Later he told us he knew the FBI lied to Congress about FISAgate in 2917. And what did he do? Nothing.
Gowdy is controlled “conservative” opposition. He’s Team GOP establishment all the way.
What authority did Gowdy possess that would have allowed him to take whatever action you are referring to?
Trump knows the hiring mistakes he made and he doesn’t need a hero like you to point it out.
This is for the few people that have given up on Trump because he hasn’t drained the swamp yet.
The long time GOPers in the senate won’t approve anyone who’s not a fellow swamp dweller.
The voters are also to blame for re-electing swamp dwellers like Graham and McConnell decade after decade. Even here in MO it seems like we’ll have Roy Blunt until he dies. He takes care of big AG here and this state is all about the farmers.
We did manage to replace McCaskill with Josh Hawley at least but I imagine in 20 years, he’ll be swampy. We need term limits but that requires the swamp to vote themselves out of a job which isn’t going to happen when they can become millionaires on their $150-200k salary.
I’d like to see evidence that he legitimized the Mueller investigation. And by your admission, Ryan at that time had the responsibility, not Gowdy.

Republicans controlled the house in 2017 and 2018. Gowdy ran his mouth during that time and did nothing. He’s about as bad as the Weasel from Wisconsin, Paul Ryan.
