Flashback: Want to change your vote? Some states say no problem (2016 article)

Posting because some may have family or friends in the states below wanting to change their early votes after the revelations coming to light:

Among the states that do allow voters to change their early ballot after it's been cast are: Wisconsin; Minnesota; Michigan; Pennsylvania; New York; Connecticut; and Mississippi.

not possible in California. you can say you don’t remember sending in your vote by mail ballot or that you definitely did not vote a mail-in ballot. then you can vote provisional. but provisionals are segregated and are checked against ballots received, so probably not going to fly.

In Michigan, absentee ballots are not counted until after the polls close.

If you vote absentee, then go to the polls to vote (as President Trump said to do,) then your in-person vote is counted and your absentee ballot is tossed.

In many other states, they open and count your absentee ballot as soon as it is received, so you cannot vote in person. Since they do not keep records of HOW you voted, just that you did vote, they cannot change the tallies.

I don’t have the problem of wanting to change my vote. I’ve already voted Trump by mail and have no intention of changing it.
