Here’s a fascinating article from New York magazine on the massive gender gap between Trump and Biden supporters. It contains this eye-popping claim, buried deep down:

In 2009, for the first time in history, there were more unmarried women in the United States than married ones. And today, young women in the U.S. aren’t just unprecedentedly single; they also appear to be unprecedentedly uninterested in heterosexuality: According to private polling shared with Intelligencer by Democratic data scientist David Shor, roughly 30 percent of American women under 25 identify as LGBT; for women over 60, that figure is less than 5 percent.
David Shor is one of the best data people the Democratic Party people has. Take this seriously.

Women file first to protect assets because men have higher rates of criminality, mental illness/drug/alchohol addiction, satyriasis, domestic violence and while women do engage in spousal abuse, they can seldom actually kill a man with their hands. Unlike men, who kill women frequently with their bare hands and are often surprised by it.
Look at Derek Chauvin, his wife filed immediately to protect their assets from the legal peril he is facing.
It pisses men off to hear the facts, but the numbers speak for themselves. Women marry for stability because of the high physical cost and time investment in raising progeny. Men who derail that stability get served.
The other reason women file first is menopause. It’s a trying time for both spouses, but if there are any cracks in the relationship, menopause is going to blow them wide open.
It’s also common to dump the asshole you’ve been putting up with for the children’s sake when they leave home.
I am not saying women don’t also do these things or have these dysfunctions. Just that the 70/30 filing split is reflective of the general statistics on crime and social dysfunctions.
So Derek gets in legal trouble and his spouse looks out for herself? A great example for a man to get married.
Facts? There are some studies which indicate the split in spousal abuse is more like 50/50. The availability of shelters for abused men is zero. There are hundreds of shelters for women.
Women who derail the stability you speak of predominately get alimony and the house and the kids. What do men get?
Blaming menopause. You don’t think men have aging problems? But I know, women have it worse.
Do you think the culture of “you can have it all” has created unrealistic expectations in late 20th and early 21st century women?
In the Bible, there is actually a very limited number of acceptable reasons for divorce. I think come judgment day, a lot of current day women are going to be surprised how they are judged.
I don’t think Chauvin’s wife filed to look out for herself. I think the lawyers told her to do it to look out for the both of them. Basically a DINO (divorce in name only) to shield their assets from a wrongful death suit. I could be wrong and maybe she is a horrible person.
There maybe a 50/50 split in spousal abuse, but not in the homicide rate. That’s why there are shelters for women and not men. Men rarely die at the hands of women. And the biggest female offenders in domestic abuse are... wait for it.... Lesbians.
Biblical divorce Adultery, Abuse, Abandonment. Statistically all behaviors that occur at a higher rate in men.
I said most men get pissed by the facts and you are true to form.
So it was fine Chauvin’s wife left because some lawyers said it was better. I always go to lawyers when I need moral advice.
If the women is killed, she has no need for a shelter. So why no men’s shelter?
For Gen Y the adultery rate is the same for female versus male. You have commented on spousal abuse rates. For abandonment rates, who knows and what is the definition of “abandonment”.
40% of children are born out of wedlock (70% of Black). Women have discovered the government will take care of them and prefer having the absolute power over “her” family as opposed to sharing it with a male. Married women have discovered they can achieve the same results through divorce plus they have the added benefit of alimony and sharing of any assets.
Women ignore facts and logic over feelings and you are true to form.
My last statement holds, God will be the ultimate judge and I believe the current generation of women are going to be especially surprised.
If you marry a wild, hot-mess that hasn’t lived in the same place for more than 10 months and parties like a rock star, because she so fun & good looking, don’t be surprised if s**t goes sideways.
We (men) should use more discretion when choosing a mate.
An expert just told me that, in her opinion, the increase in divorce is due to women having more financial independence.
Either by working or by welfare/subsidies, women are less dependent upon their husbands. The reason women file for divorce more often is because wives are more likely “the book keepers” for the household.
Most failed or unhappy marriages are the result of marrying too young or for the wrong reasons.
I can’t see blaming someone/something else for choices I have made. Don’t play yourself and you won’t be made the sucker.
