So did Maddow insult half of the people in her audience, the half who see a DO instead of an MD?
I’m not knocking them. I’m pointing out that people who dis DO’s probably swear by nurse practioners and chiropractors and thus are being inconsistent.
Wrong. if you are going to call people stupid be sure you have your facts straight
DOs are not MDs plus. The he DO training program in some places still includes manipulation but very few actually practice it. The post doc residencies have merged and training programs after graduation are. is exactly the same
yes they are, i hope you find one
all this happens because the younger generations do not have a solid foundation in basic knowledge....not of our history nor our culture nor the arts nor music unless it happened in the last 10yrs....
Thanks for the clarification. Sorry if my response was heavy handed.
they don’t go thru medical school before specializing in/going to DO school?
i admit i’ve only worked with one but he was an MD specializing in DO before becoming the best vascular surgeon in our area
Madcow is an insult but that, what you said, too.
What did you have to stop eating?
I know of no difference in medical licensing between an MD and a DO. Frankly, I prefer a DO.
Osteopathic medical school accreditation standards require training in internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, family medicine, surgery, psychiatry, emergency medicine, radiology, preventive medicine, and public health.[26] According to Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, “the training, practice, credentialing, licensure, and reimbursement of osteopathic physicians is virtually indistinguishable from those of physicians with MD qualifications, with 4 years of osteopathic medical school followed by specialty and subspecialty training and board certification”.[10]
DO schools provide an additional 300500 hours in the study of hands-on manual medicine and the body’s musculoskeletal system, which is referred to as osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM).[1] Osteopathic physicians use OMM predominantly to treat musculoskeletal conditions.
My doctor is a DO. It’s just different training. Still a doctor.
OK, it’s the same training plus as i posted in #34
like i said i was going on the only one i know so he got the MD first then went on from there
My dermatologist is a DO. He is board certified and his academic pedigree is first class. He is excellent.
I seldom go to the doctor, have been very fortunate health wise. My family has been treated by far more DO’s than MD’s.
They are human beings, try to minimize side effects and still accomplish treatment.
Dr. Eye Candy who the media are trying to degrade happens to be a Lt. Commander who was IN CHARGE of the NATO trauma center in Afghanistan these MSM types are not good enough to shine this fine Dr.s shoes what a bunch of ELITE LOSERS!!!
I forgot that this Dr. is a Dr. but also expanded his training in OD the media are complete IDIOTS, I could tell that Dr. Eye Candy during the press conferences could barely stand their absolute stupidity!! OMG!!!
