We used to read his father Irving’s essays and some of them were quite interesting. Didn’t always agree but Irv tended to be sane at least and very intelligent too. (There are some FR folks who might jump in now and complain now that Irv was a “neo-con” but that terminology is not very persuasive imho. Yes, I disagreed with some of Daddy’s essays. And probably they are same essays, positions that these FR commentators disagreed with. So be it, I am not gonna argue about Irving. He’s deceased.) Sonny boy William is a total leftie nut case, imho, who cannot properly be called ANY kind of conservative, old or new or full or partial. He’s pure leftist insofar as I can tell.
